The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-250. When he attempted to use the automatic lock for the vehicle, the driver side door lock remained in the up (open) position. The contact noticed that the cylinder inside the door was dislocated. The dealer stated that it appeared as if someone tried to break into the vehicle. No one has attempted to or has broken into the vehicle at his home or office. The cost to repair the vehicle was $500. The vehicle is currently being repaired. The current mileage was 13348 and the failure mileage was 13148.

Approximately 18 months ago I noticed rust on the inside of the doors at the bottom on the seam. The dealer suggested that I use a rust killer to stop this. I tried that with no luck. I speaking to Ford dealers this is an ongoing problem and that I should contact Ford directly. I have done this, but not received any answer.

Doors on 2004 crewcab f250 lariat 4x4 are squeaking,loose,and very noisy when driving. Problem was brought to the attention of several Ford dealers in NJ area, one of which even replaced the latch on passenger side front door with no effect. (dealer even damaged truck several times while attempting to fix a separate, but related problem-window air leak. ) truck has had this problem since new and I have had no satisfaction from any dealer service department. The outside of the driver and passenger side doors have a horizontal stress crack in the metal. This is near the area of where the rubber window molding meets.
The door opening lever is so close to the door handle that when the passenger reached for the handle the door open while the vehicle was in motion, the dealer has been contacted.

Door ajar light and courtesy light remaining on after all doors are closed properly. Dealer notified, and informed that was not a manufacturer's recall. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
My vehicle exhibits cracks in the door sheet metal at the lower rear of the belt molding on both the passenger and driver's sides. These cracks are rusting and in time will compromise the integrity of the doors and thereby the safety of the passenger compartment.
Driver's side door would not close completely. Insufficient adjustment space in latch assembly to correct problem.
Even with the doors shut ajar, instrument panel reflects within windshield, causing poor visiblity for the driver at night. Dealer can't duplicate the problem.
At 20,000 miles ongoing problem with loss of power after 1/2 hours of running and stalling out when applying accelerator pedal from a stop position. Vehicle been in dealer shop on five occasions, and probelem still reoccurring. Dealer has replaced the fuel pump, air flow sensor, mass air flow sensor, and the O2 sensors, some of these have been replaced more than once and vehicle continues to lose power and stall. Door ajar light illuminated, dealer ordered left door jam switch. Fuel gauge reads full when it is not, dealer replaced fuel sender. Consumer states passenger front rim is warped. Shifter handle bezel keeps popping off, transmission would not go into all gears, when backing in reverse, ther is a squealing noise. Left door cylinder replaced. Abs light illuminated when going in reverse. Air conditioner does not get cold.
While driving at 70 mph, consumer's grandson was sitting up front when he wanted to look out the window and see how high they were off the road. He touched/grabbed handle on passengers door to pull self closer to window and reached in too far, hitting the door handle which was locked. Upon touching the handle while the door was locked the door utomatically popped open. The maufacturer need to put child proof locks on passenger door as grab handles are right in front of door handle.
Left and right door pillar cracked 3 times.

Crack in drivers door frame near the lower right corner around the window.
Door sensors and warning chime keep indictating doors are ajar even with all doors shut. Also, interior lights will come on by themselves. . Dealer cannot determine cause , but has replaced sensors, however, problem keeps reoccurring.
Have found a crack located on the driver's side door at window cutout.
Both doors of vehicle exhibit a fatigue crack on the outside of the vehicle near the window area, rear edge, about 3 inches up from the bottom of window frame, crack begins at the rubber weather seal, then progresses rearward horizontally for about ,5 inches. We then checked my buddies 1997 f150 and his had it too. He then check 3 of his friends, and they also had the cracks. Seems that auto body shops know of this problem, check it out seems to be a high percentage from a very small sample.

The sheet metal on the door is cracking on the edge at the window. It is cracked in 3 places.
