Wheel Bolts Problems of Ford F-250

While driving at 55 mph consumer felt a vibration in the vehicle. A few seconds later right side rear wheel separated from the vehicle. Vehicle skidded to a stop on the shoulder, where the consumer found that the 8 lugs: nuts had sheared off. There was no collision or injuries reported in this incident. The dealer and the manufacturer will be notified of the problem.

While driving the vehicle's left rear tire sheared off from the hub. The tire went through the median and struck another vehicle.

Box 130745, dallas, TX 75313 phone 1-800-527-3426, policy number is pma4 510002 dtd 11/17/2001, further when I called myself after the service rep called I requested in writing why they would not cover damage, and was told by first svc corp, that I had to request that information in writing to get answer back in writing.

The lugs were incompatible with the wheel and tire.

Consumer just brought truck 2 weeks ago and left front wheel fell off, causing consumer to have bumps and bruises.

While driving about 30 mph left front wheel became disattached from studs consumer kept control until stopping. Then, towed vehicle,and dealer's technician said problem was with manufacturer.

Lug nuts loosen as the vehicle is driven and must be tightened periodically to prevent wheels from coming off.

Vehicle had two badly worn out front tires. This condition was due to lugs: nuts disconnecting as per recall # 98v-095 . Dealer notified and refused to replace tires without cost to consumer.

Had received recall notice 98v095000 & called dealer. Was informed at that time that the lugs: nuts were not available. Dealer did not know when they will be in. Would contact owner as soon as they come in. So far nothing has been heard.
