Four problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1999 Ford F-350 superduty. While driving 35 mph, the contact applied the brakes to slow down and the front brake pads fell off the vehicle. The contact shifted into neutral and rubbed the curb so that the vehicle would stop. The contact called the authorized dealer regarding the failure and the dealer stated that the pads fell off because the rotors were too thin. The brake pads were replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.
While driving vehicle severely pulls to right or left and extreme vibration occurs, causing loss of vehicle control. Replaced steering gear box. Consumer states all the ball joints and bushings in front end also had to be replaced. Rear brake pads were replaced.
Brake shoes worn out and emergency brake burned.
All four rotors and pads failed and were replaced only after a year. Nlm.
