One problem related to automatic transmission torque converter has been reported for the 2001 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission wears out prematurely. The torque converter shutter is faulty which causes faulty shifting between gears. Consumer will hear a clanking noise. Consumer took vehicle to the dealer. Ford was aware of the problem with the transmission. Consumer was told you would be lucky if you get 100,000 miles out of this transmission.
