Alternator/generator/regulator problems of the 2002 Ford F-350

Ford truck 4x4 f350 diesel. This is my 2nd complaint to you in about a year for the same problem. There are no warning signs, just failure of the alternator. We have a 2002 Ford f350 super duty diesel, crew cab, 7. 3l engine. Today, we are installing the 5th or 6th (we've stopped counting, but have records) alternator!! this occurs at least every year, and we have the old alternator now. This is beyond riduculous, expensive, and unsafe. It warrants a look see by you. Our truck only has 88 thousand (can't see, the alternator is out, but this is approximate) miles. Please, help! if this were to happen while we were going down the highway, at high speeds, someone could be hurt or killed.

I have a 2002 Ford F-350. I have just had to replace my alternator for the second time. I called Ford customer relations and they said there was nothing they would do to help with the costs at this time. It is a part that should last many years and for me to be on my third with a truck this new means to me that there is a problem. The dealer did tell me that they were replacing a lot of them. I have numerous problems with this truck. I kept having high pressure oil line problems until the block cracked and they replaced the motor.
