Engine Turbo-charger problems of the 2004 Ford F-350

Two problems related to engine turbo-charger have been reported for the 2004 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Turbo-charger problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2006

: the contact stated the vehicle stalled while driving at any speed, fumes were leaking into the cab and there was an oil leak. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and repairs. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the stalling. The fuel hoses on the turbo charger were replaced in an attempt to remedy the fumes, but this did not correct the problem. The dealer was unable to obtain the parts for repairing the oil leak.

2 Engine Turbo-charger problem

Failure Date: 10/25/2005

The contact stated that a turbo charger failure resulted in a blown head gasket. There have been no parts repaired or replaced at this time. The vehicle is currently at the dealer service waiting for repair. The problem is not covered under warranty. The vehicle started smoking and when inspecting the vehicle the turbo charger problem was discovered. The consumer was being denied repairs under warranty. He was told the reason he experienced problems with his truck was due to the after markets parts installed on the vehicle. Updated 12/07/05.
