The gas tank has a defect it epoxy liner in gas tank corrodes and plugs up the filter ejector and shut truck down and rust out filters. The truck was been driven when it shut down , took truck to Ford dealer, was told gas tank is eroded and has plug up system including injectors, will be $8000. 00 to fix, that there wasnt a current recall on item, but that for know problem exist.

The truck would shut off while driving. Nothing will warn the driver when this happens. I have spent more than $1500 at a Ford dealership and it still has the same problem. This is a very dangerous problem because the power steering and brakes will not function when the engine shuts off. I.

3 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 03/23/2009

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-350. While driving between 50-55 mph, the vehicle shut off completely and the power steering and brakes failed. The contact stated that Ford should pay for the repairs because the failure was a major safety issue. The vehicle was not included in any recalls. The current and failure mileages were 194,947.

4 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-350 superduty. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle shut off and the instrument panel lights illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle over and it was towed to the dealer. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure.
