Front Air Bag Problems of Ford F-350

While driving a 1999 Ford F-350 I hit a small bump in a parking lot and both air bags deployed. I took the truck in to a local Ford dealer tom holzer Ford who refused to look at it and told me it doesn't happen that way. I am in the process of replacing the air bags but have heard after the incident that this has happened to others. I am concerned that I will replace the air bags and they will deploy again, and cause some type of accident.

Pulling my 5th wheel camper with f350 dulley only 23 miles from home at 60 miles mph drivers side outside duell 3/4 of tread separated from tire down to steel belts ripped duelley fender off truck damaged to camper also . This is the 2ed tire to do this the 1st tire was on passenger side front driving 70 mph damaged 1/4 panel ,bumper ,running board . This happened on 12/29/08 both tires had 78lbs psi after tread separation and held air for 3 days . Looking at the two tires after the tread separated you could not tell the difference between the two tires also weighed axles on truck and was 4200lbs under load limit of tires . The tire are general ameritrac tr 23585. /16 1st tire did 2000$ in damages . I have not got est. For damages on truck and trailer from 2ed tire as of this time.

I , being the owner with a passenger, of a f- 350 7. 3 crew cab diesal 4x4 was in an accident after going over black ice on I-40 near flagstaff az. Resulting a roll over and taking out a 14 inch pine tree and landing on its passenger side when it was all said and done! the air bags in the pick- up did not deploy !.

The consumer was involved in a frontal collision with a elevated crane pillar while driving 20-30 mph and neither air bag deployed. The driver and the passenger were both restrained in their seat belt. The driver received minor injuries, but the passenger was transported to the local hospital by ambulance due to head injuries. The dealer was not notified.

While parking driver's air bag inadvertently deployed. Consumer suffered minor injuries. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

While traveling on 405 freeway left front tire blewout/ both air bags went off, and windshield was cracked by the impact of airbags. Left front fender/ bumper were damaged. When tire blewout truck turned to the left. Consumer was doing approximately 55-60 mph. Entire tread was shredded away. Consumer was not injured nor did he crash the truck.

Vehicle was involved in froantal collision of 30 mph and neither air bag deployed. Manufacturer contacted. Feel free to provide any further information.

Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision of 45 mph, and neither air bag deployed. Manufactacturer contacted.

While driving 45 mph went into an embankment and hit a ditch. Consumer suffered head and face injuries. Neither airbag deployed. $ amount of damage unknown at this time.

Air bag(s) failed to deploy. Driver sustained face,head, chest and neck injuries.

Vehicle hit a guardrail at 35-40 mph, and neither airbag deployed. Damage $ 7000.

Air-bag deployed when vehicle experienced a flat tire on rear of truck while pulling a 24-foot stock-trailer ,Ford dealer was contacted about the problem and wont look into the problem or fix it under warranty. The truck is used as a farm vehicle and is jarred around all the time in pastures and if it is possible they need to try and look into farm trucks to come with a shutoff for airbags if possible or better system. Also the rear tail lights were inoperative.

While traveling at 45 mph another vehicle pulled in front of consumer's vehicle, and it hit vehicle on driver's side. Upon impact, none of airbags deployed.

While traveling at 55 mph vehicle was completely totalled, and no airbags went off. Front of the truck was pushed in 18 inches.

Driver going 55 mph and lost control of vehicle. Tried to over correct it & went off the road & hit a tree head-on. Vehicle end overended before rolling 3 times. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Vehcle was totaled. Passenger in hospital with leg injuries/ broken collar bone & bruises over body. Driver had bruises & emergency room treatment.

Was traveling 35mph and started to slow down to make a turn applied brakes and pedal went to the floor, vehicle did not stop. Vehicle rear ended another vehicle. Neither driver's nor passenger's airbag deployed. No injuries.

While driving on highway south bound about 45mph a vehicle coming off the exit ramp east bound pulled out in front of consumer's vehicle, and hit it right smack in the middle. Upon impsct, neither airbag deployed. Contacted dealer.
