The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-350 sd. While driving approximately 45 mph and greater, the steering wheel vibrated excessively. There were no warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The authorized dealer stated that the failure was related to damaged ball joints. The vehicle has not been repaired and was unable to pass the state safety inspection due to the failure. The contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. The failure mileage was 36,000 and current mileage was 46,000. Updated 11/12/08 the right and left upper ball joints failed.
