1 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem of the 2008 Ford F-450

Failure Date: 11/24/2007

The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-450 sd. While driving, the radiator busted. In addition, the high pressure pump failed while towing a boat. While driving approximately 65 mph, the steering wheel froze while attempting to exit the interstate. The contact pulled the steering wheel hard to the right until it popped and then the vehicle began to drive normally. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer approximately three times regarding these failures. The current mileage was 64,000 and failure mileage was 4. Update 09/10/08 the consumer stated the power steering locked up. Updated 09/15/08.

2 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem of the 1996 Ford F-450

When applying the brakes with a load on the truck, the front brakes locked up and the rear brakes are ineffective. Dealer has seen 3 times. Dealer adjusted brake proportioning valve to maximum setting and removed the factory installed toggle which partially alleviated the problem, consumer stated that Ford motor company would not cooperate. Also, front brakes prone to lock up when apply brakes on wet or soft footting under normal road conditions, consumer states that there is a cold start exhuast manifold leak.
