Ford F-450 owners have reported 1 problem related to power steering hose, piping, and connections (under the steering category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling at approximately 45 mph steering became very loose and difficult to control while brakes suddenly became mushy and increased stopping distance. Dealership examined vehicle and determined that a clamp that holds hydraulic fluid hose to frame was missing, which allowed the hose to move under hood, causing hose to rupture. Also, a stabilizer bar was not put in this vehicle to assist with steering control. Please provide any additional information/attachments. *note: the dealership mentioned to consumer that this problem occurred in one other vehicle.
