Three problems related to engine have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-550. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact stated while driving the vehicle misfired. The mechanic determined that the spark plug wires were crossed, which send the spark to the wrong area. This was causing air pollution. The wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. Updated 1/5/2006 -.
When any type of dust came into contact with the engine, the engine would implode and it caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle.
Vehicle is consuming excessive amounts of oil within short periods. Cause unknown. Dealer cannot identify problem.
