Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings Problems of Ford F-550

The contact owns a 2000 Ford F-550. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the power steering and brake lines were leaking causing the brakes and steering to become inoperable. The contact pulled over and topped off the power steering fluid reservoir and drove to the residence. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed but was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

Ford put a 2 rubber brake hoses with outer braided steel outer casing on the build around the a. B. S. Unit on the driver side engine compartment. One of these hoses failed instantly resulting in a low speed collision with no brakes. With no previous warning of any kind ie soft pedal etc. No kind light came on.
