Fuel Injector Problems of Ford F-550

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-550. The contact stated that the fuel injectors malfunctioned. The corrosion clogged the fuel injectors and caused a lack of power while driving. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer to have the fuel injectors replaced. The dealer stated that the fuel tank also needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 98,254.

This being 2nd diesel Ford truck that has had same issue. . . . Losing power , blowing smoke. On this 2001 , I have replaced numerous filters, drained tank to clean ,wire harnesses,fuel injectors only to replace motor within a month or so due to contamination to system also transmission was replaced before new motor which I feel could of been due to strain on vehicle. . . . Needless to say the truck has started the same problem again. I have sank so much into it I'd never get my money out of it if sold. I feel that Ford should be held responsible for this issue and all the money people have put out to correct the issues occuring, with hundreds of others. This issue is very dangerous when your trying to get home and it stalls out when driving due to loss of power.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford f550. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The failure would occur on an intermittent basis. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who informed the contact that she would need to replace the fuel injector control module and regulator. The fuel injector control module and regulator were repaired. The failure recurred intermittently following repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 123,981.

Truck stalled I check it fuel pump had stop working took to dealer, next time the ficm went bad I replaced it drove good for 1500 or so miles then problems again Ford said fuel tank rusting causing ficm to go bad and clog injectors Ford fixed I asked about use of coolent they could not find any problem but I have to add one galion every week and truck is starting to smoke!.
