Fuel Pump Problems of Ford F-550

The contact owns a 2009 Ford 550 super duty. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph, there was a loud rattling sound as then the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was restarted and taken to the dealer where the mechanic diagnosed that the fuel pump, filters and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was notified of the failure, who advised the contact that the problem was not covered under the warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 42,608.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford f550. While attempting to accelerate at 65 mph , the vehicle would not accelerate. Then smoke was expelled from the exhaust system. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility, and the fuel pump regulator was replaced. After the repair while driving the engine would stall without warning. The vehicle was taken back to the repair facility multiple times and the fuel tank, fuel tank liner, and fuel pump were replaced. The fuel filter was replaced twice. The failure mileage was 57,000. The current mileage was 58,700.

We use biodiesel as an alternat fuel in the valey for the last 2 years Ford motor company reps say they do not stand behind biodiesel it voids warranty. Is this true? our is it possiple a defect in the coating in the tank I have never noticed a coating inside a diesal fuel tank before.

Vehicle would not go more than 5 mph going up a hill, vehicle was taken in to be inspected for this problem and after various diagnosis and attempted repairs it was finally discovered that manufacturer installed a gasoline pump in the truck instead of a diesel fuel pump, consumer also experienced another problem while driving, the truck stalled and fuel and oil spilled on the road and then consumer saw smoke coming from engine, consumer is requesting reimbursement for truck rentals.
