Vehicle Shudder problems of the 2011 Ford Fiesta

The car shudders and feels like it os going to stall out. The car revs high when you press the gass but has no power. I've taken it twice to dealership and they say they have to fix the throttle body first before they can tell me if it's my transmission. Also when I'm filling up my tank it stops every few seconds and will not allow gas to go in the tank. They also said it's my filler neck.

The car shakes and shutters. Rough when shifting. The speed will quickly change sometimes has problems starting. Not safe to drive. Ford dealership near where I live says it is the clutch and wants $1500 just to figure out exactly what is wrong. They highly suggest replacing whole transmission $5700 because if they fix one part and another breaks it will cost $1500 just to take apart again. Crazy because it has only 91000 miles and is only worth $4500. Help I don't have this kind of money for fixing this unsafe car.

Ford transmission, I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta after which finding out about the customer satisfaction repairs for the transmission seals,and clutch as well as the door latches and other issues. I brought the car into 2 different dealers for the repairs, the one dealing with the repair of the clutch and seals I have had to bring it into twice for the issues regarding it. Before the dealer repaired the clutch and seals my car had a shudder where it would jerk when down shifting coming off the highway for example or up shifting when making turns across a lane. After I got it back it seemed okay but now less then 3 months later it is happening again and in addition there is a whining noise coming from the transmission. I brought the car into the dealership again today after several long conversations with Ford corporate and was called and told it is being caused by the "main shaft bearing" which they will not cover and is asking for $1500. 00 to repair. This issue was caused by Ford producing faulty parts used in the 2011 Ford Fiestas, as reports from many online sources have stated, this issue caused by Ford is not becoming a safety issue for me and my family as the acceleration and deceleration cause a jerking pause and has even shut down on my in the middle of the road. I live in ohio where snow and ice occur with this issue the life of my family and I is as stake as on coming traffic can not stop in time when this shuddering occurs and when I am able to move the jerking can cause loss of control of the vehicle.

Vehichle has been returned to a Ford dealer numerous times for transmission issues. Has had all updates completed as required by the dealer, yet continue to have transmission issues. The vehicle shudders and hesitates while attempting to shift gears (it is an automatic transmission). This occurs at low speeds as well as higher speeds. Feel it may be a risk for causing an accident. The dealer says there is nothing more they can do.

On several occasions the vehicle has experienced decreased acceleration as well as delayed acceleration. At the intersection of 441 and david walker dr in eustis FL we experienced the transmission malfunction leaving us in the middle of traffic trying to manuever at 10 miles an hour.

Bought a 2011 Ford Fiesta (automatic) and have had nothing put problems with the vehicle shaking, shuddering, grinding gears, as if I am a first time driver just learning to drive a standard. It has put me in a couple situations when pulling into traffic where the vehicle fails to identify which gear it is in during the first 3 gears of acceleration, and has nearly caused me to have an accident even though I allowed myself what I believed to be a very safe distance to pull out into traffic with no problems. Now I feel like I should give myself at least a miles distance between vehicles to merge successfully without the fear of an accident. I bought the car after the problems began but was told the replacement clutch would resolve this problem, only to find out that that statement is completely false. After 1 replacement, I left the dealership and had the same exact problems only to be told that if it don't show on the diagnostics scan. . . There is nothing they can do. I could go on but I feel that after reading up on the other complaints, everybody has covered my same exact problems successfully. I feel the dealerships should have told me instead of trying to pass off a turd as gold. If they replace the faulty clutch with the same exact clutch that is faulty, who ever purchases the 2011 Fiesta is just a dog chasing his tail. Once the warranty is up. . . Then what? am I just supposed to shell out thousands of dollars for the same exact problems? that's unbelievable. I also do not think I should try to sell this car to another person just for them to be stuck in the same bind. I have a conscience and will not do this to someone else. This is on Ford and I believe that they should resolve this problem instead of putting it off until every one who owns a Fiestas recall is up? that's inconceivable.

As I was leaving work pulling out of the road I stepped on the gas and the car stalled. Making multiple vehicles come to a screeching stop almost causes multiple wrecks. This was the first time. This car has had numerous visits to the dealer for transmission issues including the most recent aprox. Two months ago. The car will shudder and buck while shifting and makes a horrendous noise while driving. In this particular incident the car came to a busy stop sign where 2 highways cross and then when the accelerator was depressed the car moved a few feet to the center of the intersection and then wouldn't move anymore. It just revved the engine like it was in neutral. After aprox. 20-30 seconds it finally engaged the transmission and then continued to drive. Took to the dealer and they said they fixed it (again, 3rd time now). These cars are a liability and a accident waiting to happen when they cannot accelerate without the transmission slipping and sputtering.

I bought this car used with 35000 miles on it. The first thing I noticed was when starting or stopping the car would shudder, like it was gripping and couldn't catch a gear. I normally drive hwy, and I notice no problems when going above 45mph. However I was in stop and go traffic and I thought the car was going to stall on me numerous time, it would shake and make grinding sounds. This car is an automatic and I thought I was driving a manual, that's what it felt like, like I didn't have the clutch in and was coming to a stop. Well about 3 weeks ago when I was pulling up to a stop light, the car stalled completely. Just turned off, and it really scared me. Since then the car has stalled 3 times, each time as I am coming to a stop. I took it in after each time it stalled and I am told that since no check lights came on there is no way they can diagnose anything. I mentioned the shuddering as well, and they gave me a print out with the "usual" feelings associated with the particular transmission that is on my car. I am pissed and very dissatisfied, I love this car, the look, the interior, the electronic upgrades are awesome but these issues with the transmission are miserable. I am scared driving my car. I just want Ford to recognize this problem and help us out. We are buying their product, you would think they would fix these issues.

This vehicle hesitates and shudders upon acceleration,- mostly between the lower gears. It has done this from the start. This has resulted in several close calls in traffic. Ford replaced a seal in the transmission, then they told us the shuddering and hesitation was within "normal specs. " it is worse when the vehicle is warmed up and is dangerous -as it can lose power when you need to cross traffic. Ford has now agreed to replace the clutch but there aren't any in stock and we were told to drive it until the part can be obtained. However, I feel the car is a danger in traffic and may break down altogether, leaving myself and two disabled persons stranded. I don't feel that the clutch repair will last as they are only replacing what is a defect in the first place in these transmissions. I don't understand why there hasn't been a safety recall on them. Maybe they are only waiting for enough people to be killed or injured. I hope we aren't one of them.

From a stop position at stop sign, stop light, etc. When pressing on the gas pedal to accelerate the car shudders hard and shakes then it catches and speeds up. I bought it used with 24000 miles on it. Really upsetting when trying to cross traffic and it starts to stall and shudder.

I bought the car new and have taken it to two separate dealerships to correct this issue and it continues. Initially, the transmission light came on and the car began having trouble shifting. After the first repair, the car began shaking uncontrollably. The second repair corrected the shaking, but now (at 15,755 miles) the car will (1) make grinding metallic noises when shifting, (2) fail to shift on any incline (instead it revs to approximately 2500 rpms and "sticks" there), (3) jolt forward when the brake is applied as if the accelerator was pressed down, and (4) roll backwards on hills as if it is a manual transmission. I understand that (4) can be common among newer automatics that attempt higher fuel economy. However, numerous times the speed at which the car rolls back has incurred a safety risk. This seems to be another indication of an issue with the transmission.

I bought this car in June 2011. Right from the beginning it has had a transmission problem. The car shudders when trying to accelerate. Sometimes it's light shuddering and sometimes it's very rough where the whole car is jerking. There have been several incidences where I was turning left and thought I had plenty of time but the car decides to shudder and I have almost been hit by another car. My husband had a super close call. Same thing turning left and the car was shuddering so bad it just wouldn't go and he was almost hit by a truck. We have taken the car in several times to be fixed and each time it's fixed for a short amount of time but eventually the shuddering comes right back. I've been told all the Fiestas have this problem and even if they put a new transmission in this problem will happen because of the way the transmissions been built. I fear it's only a matter of time before someone is severely hurt or killed from this problem. I feel like Ford needs to step up and fix this problem before it's too late.

At 232 miles we started taking this car back to the dealer for transmission problems, and were told they had no clue what was going on, before 60,000 miles they replaced the transmission or did software updates numerous times, also after 60,000 it continued. In addition the frame and axels have had several issues when the car has never been in accident. I was told by a Ford mechanic the transmission caused that due to the severe shaking caused by the transmission issues. In addition the air conditioning had issues over and over and the electrical system also had issues after recalls for something to due with the battery harness, my lights went out, my radio stopped working, my air conditioning system and many other odd electrical things happened at this point this car sits in my driveway and is unable to be driven because of safety issues, while I wait and hope that Ford is forced to do a buy back. I purchased this car for my daughter when she went off to college in the hopes she would have a safe reliable car, it has been anything but that, so many problems over the years but unable to financially to purchase another and forced to spend money on repairs to keep this one running. I am so upset that they knew before they ever put this car on the road that it was unsafe just so they could make money at the risk they were putting people in, there were several times my daughters car would shake stutter and slow down that she had to pull off the road to avoid causing an accident. . I have all of the work bills do you want those?.
