An extensive diagnostic test was then performed which determined that the body control module (bcm) was defective. The bcm was replaced. Despite the repair, the check engine warning light remained illuminated, and the vehicle would stall at various speeds. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
