Cooling system fails on the car without warning. The temperature gauge and over temperature warning light do not indicate / come on until the engine fails and the vehicle looses power. I have had to replace the engine two times. Each time there was no indication of low coolant or overheating condition. My car was at highway speed and lost power and shut off within seconds leaving no time to safely pull off the road. Both times I was on a state highway with little to no berm.
The contact owned a 2011 Ford Fiesta. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle lost power and the engine failed. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
