The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the tcm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to customer satisfaction program: 14m02 (power train); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
