The car want start it will turn on then when trying to go the car stalls out and the car keeps acclerating. It reads engine failure and I havent even had this car two years yet and aint even finish paying I off. I had to get tolled off the highway with my kids do to the car want start and when got it home it started but keeps accelerating. I need this car to get checked or something this is unsafe for my toddlers when I have to use that vehicle to get back and forth to work and take my kids to daycare. . What am I suppose to do with a vehicle im still paying on and want start. I have been researching and seen that multiple people been having problems with there Ford Focus the same problems im having.
I purchased my Ford Focus 2014 with 40,000 miles for $17,000, mid year of 2017. The car drove perfectly before its first recall in December of 2018. Ever since then the car has broken down at least every 3 months. I have had four recall repairs since the purchase, I believe the recalls are the reason it needs so many additional other repairs. Besides the car itself I have spent over $35,000 on additional repairs. I have paid Ford, murray's auto / acima, all 4 u auto, firestone and best tires for repairs. I have researched the recalls and other people's experiences with the car, many of the customer experiencing way more troublesome activity with the cars with the recall than what is stated in the mail letter. I would like to request a settlement reimbursement of a new car due my unsatisfied experience with my car. I will attach all my paid and ongoing debt receipts for my car's maintenance. After one of my recalls in 2018 the car was returned to me in even worst condition, with engine failure at the wake forest nc location. I received a diagnosis at the cary crossroads, nc location that said the car would need a $10,000 new engine. I thought this was unfair because I had not had engine problems before the recall, and researching online many dissatisfied customer agreed that the specific recall was causing engine failure, and my advisor agreed that the recall fault part and engine could have negatively affected one another although refused to pay for the repair. I called Ford corporate and explain to them what happened they deducted over $6,000. 00 from the entire engine price. I was not satisfied with the cost I had to pay but paid the cost because I still had close to 10,000. 00 to pay my bank secu from the lease car loan. The alignment, rods, and brakes were also a major expense I had to pay.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle began to shake. The contact discovered that an unknown component in the engine failed and caused the air conditioning unit to fracture. The contact also stated that the speedometer failed to indicate the accurate speed level. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that unknown wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.
While under warranty I was driving and the engine shut off. I had to coast to the shoulder on the expressway. This happened four times during the warranty and 6 times since the warranty expired. While sitting at a red light, the light turns green and I begin to accelerate. The engine stalled fours times and three other times it almost stalled. I took the car to the dealer while it was under warranty and only once they said they found a problem with the transmission. They replaced some small part but it continues to happen. One of the times it stalled I took a picture of the message on the dash board. It said: engine failure service immediately. I showed that photo to the service manager and mechanic at Ford. Both of them said the same thing: "I've never seen that before". Makes you feel good about the car you bought from them. Also, the rear drivers side door won't open most of the time on the first attempt. I have to pull the handle two or three times before the door will open. For replaced some part on the doors because of a recall but that didn't fix the problem. It still does it. This posting asks you to specify the date of occurrence. It has happened so regularly now there are too many dates to list. I lsted may of 2014 when I bought the car. From then on it has had problem after problem after problem.
