I took my car to have the airbag recall fixed and the dealership told me my airbags being replaced won't make my airbag light on the dash go off. It is something something else idk they wanted to charge me to diagnose it. It just doesn't make sense they are fixing the airbags yet the airbag light will not go off even after they are replaced. Makes absolutely no sense.
My air bag light is on. Have tried to have it fixed a few years ago, but is still on. Had the air bag replaced and it's still on.

Takata recall - my dashboard airbag light is on. I took it to one dealer who said that the airbag light has nothing to do with the recall and I would have to have it fixed on my own. When I took it to another dealer, I was told the light had to do with the recall and I would have to wait until parts are available and I get another letter from Ford that it is time to have it fixed. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you.

"takata recall" on July 2016 I received a notice regarding NHTSA recall 16v-384 and at that time I contacted the Ford dealership in daytona beach, FL. And they tell me they don't have the parts available and that I'll get a notice in the mail when they are ready. Fast forward 10 months later (may 1st 2017) and I still got the same response with no time table as to when this important safety issue will get addressed. I currently have the airbag light lit on the console and feel that I'm driving an unsafe vehicle should I get in an accident. I would ask if NHTSA can follow up with the daytona beach, FL dealerships to help speed up the recall. Thank you!.

I have been calling the surrounding dealerships to help my get my car in for the recall for over a year and a half and now that I have to pay for my renewal fees with the dmv, I have to get the car smogged and it will not pass due to the airbag indicator light not turning off. I was told that the part is not in yet and yet here we are late September 2018.
The dashboard around the passenger side airbag is deformed. It has separated and has started to "peel" upward. The airbag light has also come one. Not sure if related.
Airbag light came on at about 85,000 miles. Occurred after starting up after being parked facing the wind on a very windy day. Took to dealer, needs new rcm module. Was told no airbags would deploy until replaced. Apparently it is very expensive repair for something that concerns safety of the vehicle.

Passenger side airbag is bulging up on one side. I park in a garage and I'm in WI so we don't get extreme heat, so I'm not sure why I'm having a issue. It's either an airbag issue or a dashboard issue. My passenger side airbag light appears to be working fine. . . It only goes on with a passenger or when my purse gets too heavy and its on the seat. Also, my accelerator petal makes a weird static-sounding noise when it's at a certain position. It has nothing to do with speed, it happens at various speeds, so it's only when the petal is held in the same spot which is about halfway down to the floor. If I press the petal down beyond this spot or raise my foot so the petal is above that spot, the noise stops. . . Only to return again when the petal eventually lands back in that problematic spot (about halfway down).
My passenger side dash had begun to bulge . They stated it was o. K. And I did not need to worry about the airbag deploying. They told me that it could not be fixed; and no one recommended how to fix it. The bulge has gotten worse and it looks as if the airbag is going to deploy. My airbag light came on shortly after and I can not pass inspection.
The air bag light came on and stayed on. I took it to the local Ford dealership. The service rep said that the passenger seat air bag sensor was defective. He said that there were no recalls and it would cost me $868. 00 to fix it. I can't afford it so we're driving it with the light on. I think Ford should replace it because many people have the same or similar problem with their Fusions as well as a host of other makes makes, models, and years.
Takata recall - passenger airbag is causing a rupture in dashboard and airbag indicator light is always on.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. While driving 40 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The failure occurred numerous times. An independent mechanic replaced a sensor, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 48,900.
The air bag on the passenger side of the vehicle, above the glovebox has exposed itself and the actual part of the surrounding dashboard has lifted upwards on it's own, due to hear in my opinion, it is a safety defect and now my passenger airbag light is on (which means it's shut off on it's own) and I'm scared it will go off at any time due to the exposure of the components.
