Takata recall no accident no injury. Reporting ineptness of Ford to rectify this situation. Dealer told me that my air bag may not deploy and allow no one to ride in the front passenger seat. Are you kidding ??then give me a car of equal value with a working passenger side airbag. I take elderly people shopping , etc. Dealers or private owners should not be allowed to sell a car with a serious recall and no immediate fix. The site does not allow a person to express a complaint although it says before filing out the form an accident or injury is not necessary to complete the form.

"takata recall"my car was involved in a fender bender with the air bag not deploying, prior to that the check airbag light remained on. The marlow auto body collision center located in oxon hill maryland did try to look at it as to why I did not turn off, they even replaced the fuse, however I received a letter in the mail informing me there was a recall. I have contacted and tried to bring the vehicle into Ford located in camp springs maryland on several occasions and they stated they never received the part and they were unable to accommodate my repair. I have since went back to marlow auto body this year 2018 for help but they stated I should contact the nhts to complain.
Dashboard vinyl and padding is bulging away from the passenger airbag panel. This seems to be a safety issue as the airbag may not deploy properly in an accident, or may deploy at any time without an accident and injure the passenger. Sometimes airbag light goes on. Although the dashboard looks unsightly, this is not a cosmetic issue, it is a safety issue!!.

On several occasions, primarily in colder weather, the air bag indicator in the instrument cluster on the dash board remains on after starting. This happens unpredictably at random intervals. Once the engine is warm, shutting off the ignition and restarting will resolve the problem. I am told that the air bags will not deploy if the air bag light is on.
Passenger side air bag cover is raised about a quarter inch around the edge airbag has not deployed but I am very concern.

I am from California and was driving in glendale, arizona at 1:00 a. M. On 06/30/12. The signal I came to was flashing red. Cross traffic had flashing yellow light. Assuming the cross traffic also had a red flashing light (as in California) I proceeded through the intersection. I was t-boned by a large delivery truck. The side/curtain airbag did not deploy!! I sustained numerous injuries for which I was hospitalized for 9 days. No one was in the car with me, thank god! a few days after the accident, I spoke with the officer that arrived at the scene. He told me that when he saw the amount of damage to my car, he thought he would be "calling the fatal team". . . . Updated 08-10-12 Ford motor company needs to do a recall on, not only the Fusion models, but on all of their cars. I do not trust Ford and will never own one again. I have contacted Ford regarding this issue and also an attorney, but I hate to think of all the other drivers out there who assume the airbags work in their cars when possibly they are defective. The number of cases I've read about since my accident shocks me. Ford should have done everything they could after the first incident. Be careful driving your vehicles. . . Especially if it's a Ford. Get your airbags checked ASAP!!!! updated 08/14/2012.
