Kayser Ford in madison, WI was supposed to have replaced driver side air bag. I have concerns about their properly replacing, per the safety recall, as tim douglas boasted that "they have over 47 airbags" in back and this is not how the recall should work. The part needs to be ordered per the VIN and received and put in, not some random spare extra parts in back, put in the vehicle, without knowing how long they have been sitting there. Further, this Ford replaced the passenger airbag, and pulled on the bottom edge of the airbag compartment, causing a badly tented edge, that could obstruct the passenger air bag deployment or tear the bag if it is deployed, and affect the angle and trajectory of the deployment. This Ford denied any responsibility. When we had it towed for other repairs including the driver side airbag, they not only did not perform the necessary repairs, but they caused harm to our car: damage to the front bumper, failed to refill fluids correctly, including transmission fluid and power steering fluid and did not replace the front brake calipers. The new serpentine belt is loose and makes a noise. They also drove our car over 30 miles, without our authorization and then lied on the invoice claiming that our car came in and left at the same mileage. Further, they left our car on a tow truck with the j hook hanging from the suspension and under tension, all night.
The area on the dashboard where the passenger airbag is has started to heave up. I am afraid that it might rupture. I have turned off the passenger side airbag. Is this something that needs to be addressed? the area affected is about 7 inches long.
Takata recall received a post card from tk holdings regarding a takata airbag recall. We checked airbagrecall. Com and found that our Ford Fusion 2007 was included in that recall. We were advised to call the local Ford dealer to have the passenger side airbag replaced immediately. Sexton Ford in moline was very rude and the only information they would give us was that there are no parts available to fix this. How can there not be any parts available for a recall that, if not fixed, may result in death? now we are unable to utilize the passenger seat of our car until the airbag is replaced.
I had just bought my 2007 Ford Fusion barely a month ago based on the fact that the VIN number was clean, no history of accidents and one owner. I have had no idea that my now new to me precious vehicle that I love lots and shelled out 3,000 for was a part of this airbag inflate recall until I got a notification in the mail yesterday and ran my plate through the airbag recall website. I use my now loved vehicle for uber and I take my children to school in the vehicle in question daily. Now it makes me question not only my personal safety but the safety my children and my uber passengers. Lucky for me I have not gotten into an accident with this vehicle yet. I have been in an accident in a vehicle that had absolutely no airbags at all 10 years ago and I am literally fortunate enough to still be alive and well. In the accident I was in just not this vehicle in particular, highway patrol in nevada thought I was going to die. Now this vehicle I just bought I bought October 4th, 2017. Also I caught when my 12 year old son who happens to be the same height and weight as me the passenger side airbag off light stays on when he is in the vehicle. I'm 5'3" 125 pounds. He's the same. That should not be.
Passenger side airbag makes a squeaking noise while driving. Separation between the airbag and the dash is also noticeable. Passenger side airbag for the vehicle has been under recall since 6/1/2016 but Ford dealership is stating no parts are available and they have no eta on when they will be available. In the meantime, we are uncomfortable driving the car with the airbag acting as it is.
Takata recall. I received a letter informing me of the recall. If deployed, the passenger side airbag may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants causing injury or death. I received this letter in March 2017. I haven't received any other communication about resolving this. I stopped at a local Ford dealership to inquire about ways to resolve and they had no options to offer until parts are available to fix the airbag. They were given no timeframe in which this would happen.
I received a note from Ford months ago that the passenger side airbag should be replaced and that I should wait until I hear from my local Ford dealer. When I checked with the dealer he said we are "waiting for parts" . . . I have had no word from anyone since.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact noticed that the passenger side air bag was poking from the compartment and the seam was detached. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (gordie boucher of west bend, 3021 w washington st, west bend, WI 53095). The contact was informed that the parts were not available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact to wait until the parts become available. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
I received a notice last fall, I have called the dealership to have airbags replaced many times but am told they do not have available parts and do not know when my airbags will be replaced. The passenger side airbag location is pulling up from my dash.

Takata recall. I received notification of the safety recall in July 2016 regarding the passenger side airbag in my car. The letter indicated follow-up for replacement of this airbag would be sent from Ford motor company once parts are available. I recognize this is a massive recall, but it is now a year later and there has been no further follow-up. Are replacements parts still unavailable? I continue to not allow passengers to ride in my front passenger seat and am concerned for my own safety as well. Any information is appreciated.
"takata recall" : since I received notification of this recall in July 2016, I have called the dealership, called Ford, called NHTSA, and filled out a complaint form that was mailed to me by NHTSA. The dash in my car is bulging above the passenger side air bag. My mechanic is telling me the air bag is likely "twisted. " I believe this qualifies me for an immediate repair. From what I read on the recall site, Ford can do an "interim" repair on high risk vehicles defined older vehicles exposed to high humidity/high temp. I lived in santa fe nm from may - August 2016 - which is about the time I noticed the sudden bulge in the dash. I currently live in florida which is another high humidity/high temp climate. Ford should consider my vehicle as "high risk" and send me the paperwork I need to have it repaired immediately. At the very least, they should send me a voucher so I can take it to any Ford dealership to get it checked - free of charge. The sudden bulge in the dash above the airbag is clearly an indication something is wrong. Ford should be doing everything they can to get my car checked and repaired at no charge to me. At this point, no one from Ford has called or made any attempt to offer me a solution. I would like to know what recourse I have to get this taken care of.
Takata recall. We received a recall notice for the passenger side airbag in July 2016. I have contacted the local Ford dealer three times since then, and they say the replacements are not available.
Takata recall, I received a notice of recall dated July 2016,for passenger side airbg replacement. I was living in zone a, but have since relocated. I am concerned that the cover area of the airbag is now seperated, and I do not allow anyone to be seeated in the passengers seat. I would like to add that I have taken excellent care of my since the date of purchase. In teh worst case secnerio should someone be seated in the passenger area and the bag deploys in a non accident time of travel I will be left with no other option but to seek civil action for all damages, both injury and interior damages. I am only writing so that there a record as to be noted. Thank you.
Takata recall I received a notice from Ford notifying me of a recall for my passenger side airbags. I have contacted my Ford service center 2 times to rectify the problem. Both times I have been told that they do not have the capacity to fix the problem. The most recent time that I contacted Ford, I was told that they may not be able to fix the problem for months or even years. They said they are prioritizing it by car type and location of car.
Takata airbag. In June 2016 I received notice of the takata airbag recall. I never heard from my dealer. I called them today and was told they are on backorder with no delivery date in site. I also received notice of the filing for bankruptcy by takata. Can you please let me know what the department of transportation is doing about this. Also, is it safer to disengage the passenger side airbag. Thank you.

Dashboard around passenger side airbag is deformed. Passenger side airbag stopped working as well.
Takata recall I received a letter from Ford in July 2016 stating that a defect in the passenger side air bag could cause death to the passenger in the event of an accident. It further stated that I would receive another letter when parts are available. Now, 8 months later, I have not received another letter, and the local dealer does not have the parts for the recall service and does not know when those parts will be available. Based on information on the Ford web site I determined that my car is high risk for serious air bag malfunction because of its age (10 years) temperature fluctuations, and humidity variations. In spite of this very dangerous condition, known by Ford motor company for a long time they have not performed the correction nor advised me when they will perform it.
The dash around the passenger side air bag is separating from the area where the air bag is located.
There is a bulging on my passenger side airbag, my passenger light airbag comes on I have approximately 93000 miles on my Ford Fusion.
Passenger side airbag is bulging out of dash.
Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that a bulged had developed on the passenger's side air bag. The contact was concern that the air bag might inadvertently deploy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate mileage was 90,000. Pam.
Dash is lifting beneath the passenger side airbag. I'm afraid the air bag either may deploy unexpectedly or not at all.
The passenger side air bag above the glove compartment is exposed. Now my airbag like will not turn off.
Back in June,2014 I noticed something weird on my dash. For some reason the dash above the passenger side airbag is bubbling up. At first I thought it might be the heat from the sun, so I started parking my car in the shade to avoid higher temps hitting the dash. Unfortunately, it did not help. The bubble kept growing and growing. Now it's so large that I am worried that the airbag has become compromised. I am concerned that the airbag may deploy when I'm driving or possible not deploy if I am in a car accident. It appears there are quite a few people complaining about the same problem. Please fix this Ford!! very dangerous!.
Large bulging under passager side air bag. Told it is cosmetic, but I cannot imagine that to be true. Afraid thad bag will trigger or will not expel when needed.
The air bag on the passenger side has been bulging for over a year now. When I first noticed it, I checked to see if it could be fixed. I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket expenses to fix it and it would probably cost me well $1000 bucks. Some have been quoted over $2000. My car is paid for and I am no longer covered under warranty. Even with a warranty I was informed that it would most likely not be covered under a warranty. To me, this issue a safety hazard. I am forced to leave the passenger side air bag off because I am afraid if I hit a bad bump in the road, it might explode and cause me to have an accident or even injure my passenger. Having to leave it off, if I have an accident it may not deploy if I am involved in an accident. I researched and there are numerous complaints regarding the bulging air bag on different models of the Ford Fusion, I do not feel it is fair that I/we should have to pay out of pocket to fix this problem because it is a safety hazard and not a cosmetic problem caused by the consumer. Is Ford going to wait until something terrible happens and face a lawsuit because they do not want to recall these vehicles and fix the problem? I do not have a couple $1000 dollars to get this fixed. My ac has been broken since last year. I don't even have the money to fix the ac. Please, if there is anything that can be done to get this. This really needs to be on the recall list.
Customer feels that the seat belts and the side air bags are a hazard and are not safe in a rollover* the consumer stated the seat belts are not safe in a rollover due to the incorrect assumption that the roof will remain intact. The consumer also stated the air bags are not helpful because occupants may have their heads thrown against the side windows by a previous maneuver or impact, before a side impact, only to have their necks broken by an inflating air bag. The head restraints have supports that are too weak to prevent injury in a severe rear impact. The consumer wanted to share his continued concern with the safety of automobiles.
