Transmission slips in and out of gear. Jerks voilently into pass gear. Slips into neutral and just revs at highway speeds. Coming down a hill it lurched forward almost sending my wife and I off a cliff. Very dangerous. Its also a common problem im finding with the awf21 trannsmissions. Should be recalled before someone dies. Numerous reports of these trannys failing over the internet with the exact same symptoms. Please help.
Loss of power, car would not go, stuck in busy traffic, shifts very hard transmission slipping. This has happened about tree or four times now. Called dealer they say they are unaware of problem, but it is all over the internet everyone having problems. Took it in but cost me 400 because of course it is out of warranty. Reprogrammed my transmission but now shifts at a higher rpm causing lower fuel mileage. They are having problems with the throttle bodies going bad because this was a collaboration with Mazda. Very expensive repair. No way these should be going bad at 70k. They need to replace transmissions at their cost.
I have an 07 Ford Fusion, I am the original owner and bought the car with zero miles in 06. Recently my transmission started slipping and I noticed that the rpm's go up so high then you feel like an impact which is when the car changes gears. I almost got rear-ended due to this problem. After doing some research online I have noticed that many Ford owners have the same problem. I have called Ford and they say my car is out of warrenty so their is nothing they could do. I also think this problem is causing my back to hurt I noticed that after this accurs with my car I get pain in my back like if it was whip lash.
