The contact stated while driving, the vehicle exhibited an abnormal popping noise as the transmission began shifting hard, causing an unusual increase in engine rpms. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. Later, the contact was driving under 40 mph when the vehicle would not shift between gears.
