Driver airbag inflator replacement the driver airbag may explode in the event of a crash that causes deployment of the driver airbag. If an airbag inflator explodes, sharp metal fragments could strike the driver or other occupants causing serious injury or death. Currently the recall is recall incomplete, remedy not yet available its been too long I called last year to get it fixed an they said they would contact when the part was available no response.

Takata inflators: my vehicle was not driven for 6 months as part of the recall. I was given a rental while waiting for parts, but since having the recall parts installed my vehicle has started having brake problems. When driving the brake pedal will go all the way down to the floor. It feels like the brakes will not hold pressure. I had the brake pads and rotors changed after it sat for 6 months.

The dealer informed the consumer the repair could not be completed due to bracket holding the airbag being damaged. The consumer was held responsible for the bracket repair, but could not afford the repair. The vehicle was towed to the consumer's residence, but was returned severely damaged.

Takata recall - Ford has failed to meet the deadline of June 30, 2018 for "sufficient supply and remedy launch" for priority group 9 (which includes 2010 Ford Fusion in illinois, which is zone b according to the NHTSA's website) stated in paragraph 34 of the NHTSA's third amendment to the coordinated remedy order (cro). Specifically, I called my Ford dealer (wickstrom Ford (847) 381-8850) and understand that no replacement parts for the passenger side psan inflator is available to remedy the defect. I have decided to contact NHTSA because takata has filed bankruptcy and sends legal notices intended to limit my rights in the event of bodily harm, property damage, or economic harm and -- this past week -- Ford has sent me a legal notice in a class action intended to limit my rights in the event of economic harm. Nhtsa should take steps to prevent Ford and takata from taking away consumers' legal rights until they provide adequate replacement parts for every affected consumer (I. E. , no taking away rights unless consumers fail to take reasonable steps to avoid the harm by taking cars to dealers in a timely manner).

Takata inflators : I've received a letter saying that my air bag need to be replaced, however they said that they will call me when the parts are available. After a couple months I called Ford and they said they still don't have the parts. Three days ago I received a letters from auto airbag settlement saying that I should do the recall as soon as possible. However Ford still doesn't have the parts. I have been waiting for 18 months .

Takata inflators - I believe. Ford still doesn't have a way to fix the recall. It's been going on for a long time. Shouldn't they have a fix by now? no accident or issue as of yet, but this needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP!.

According to the dealership, to Ford, and to the complaints posted here, the requisite replacement parts may take "forever" to become available. Meanwhile, we drive a car in which a minor accident could be fatal because of the inflator. Why are we not entitled to use a loaner car until parts are available? the cost of such a program could and should be passed on to takata. It is absurd to have millions of people driving around in these time bombs.

The contact called apple Ford in red lion at 717-244-7677 (3250 cape horn rd, red lion, PA 17356) where it was confirmed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact was concerned that the driver's side air bag could also be defective and wanted it replaced as well. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. I have been notified by Ford motor company that my car has an air bag inflator that is dangerous and I should not drive the car with a passenger and they do not have repair parts available. This places an unacceptable hardship that has no projected resolution time frame.

Takata recall I have yet to receive a repair or notice of parts available to repair the defective psan inflators on my vehicle. I have contacted multiple Ford dealerships and Ford corporate regarding the takata airbags, but I get nowhere with either one of them regarding when a fix is available and why parts are unavailable. I would like to formally submit a complaint to Ford due to their unacceptable service with regards to how long the process is taking. Airbag recalls should not take multiple years to resolve, it should be of the highest priority; and it appears that Ford does not think that is the case.

Takata inflators - I received a recall letter in the mail July 2016. It is now October 2017 and I am being told parts are still not available to take care of this recall on the passenger air bag. I am wondering when these parts are going to be available if this is a safety issue.

Takata recall -- it is one year since the recall was issued. Ford stated today that still don't have any inflators in manufacture for replacement. The car will be past its lifespan before the recall is complete meanwhile any passenger in the car is at risk. This is an unsatisfactory response to a major safety risk. Nothing has happened yet!.

I havent had an issue except I bought this vehicle in April of 2017 and when I found out about the air bag recall,the dealer's service department told me they are aware of the issue and are blaming Ford for not getting them the correct parts to address this vital safety issue. In the mean time I've received notices about the recall and to take my car to the dealer,etc. . . But if they don't have the parts what can I do?? for Ford to be taking this long on sending out the parts is beyond me for such a crucial safety issue,and was wondering how many people are going to die in the meantime??.

I got an safety recall notice from Ford for my car on 06012016 (10 months ago. . . ) and they still do not have any remedy available for it. Takata inflators I was warned of the recall a year ago, however, no solution/ fix has been offered. . This is our family car and I do feel a little uncomfortable driving it with the defective air bags . .

Takata recall: received a letter from Ford postmarked July 15, 2016 and letter dated July 2016. Letter stated an important safety recall on the air bags. Letter stated that Ford will notify me via mail to schedule a service appointment to have the passenger frontal airbag inflator replaced free of charge. I have not received any further information from Ford in any form on this issue. Over a year surely is enough time to provide a resolution for a safety issue.

Takata recall I received a letter date July 2016 telling me that the airbag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash and injure or kill me. It is well over one year since I received such letter and Ford has not taken any action to keep me safe.

I have been in a accident where I have been a passenger and a the mustang was totaled by a Dodge ram truck running the red light. It is disturbing to me that I'm driving a 2010 Ford Fusion with a recall and the part is still not available. It is an accident waiting to happen. Takata inflators. We were mailed an "important safety recall" letter on June 15, 2016 and received another one in July 2016. This is October 2017 and our air bag recall situation has not been taken care of! when I have called our local Ford dealer, where we purchased our car, to ask when this would be repaired, I have been told that there is no remedy yet, but to be assured, I would be the "first one called when there is," and this statement was insignificant to me, even useless. Everyone with this problem, given the warnings, should be at the top of the list, not just instructed to simply "not use the front passenger seat" until the airbag is replaced! I was strongly urged to not have anyone sit in the front passenger seat until this problem has been taken care of. My Ford Fusion has been the favorite car I have owned! it's primary purpose is for my husband and I to travel and to spend time with our grandchildren and other family members. Riding "chauffeur" style with my husband when we travel is not why we purchased this car! I could understand a week or two, or possibly a month, but 16 months with no end in sight is ridiculous! when I want to have a day out with my friend, it is embarrassing to ask her to sit in the back seat for her safety. This issue has strongly affected my desire to purchase another Ford product, and we have purchased many Ford vehicles! my father-in-law retired from Ford motor CO. Please correct this problem ASAP! the date I have entered below as "date this happened" refers to the first date that we were issued notice that the front passenger airbag recall was in place. This vehicle still does not have a recall part replacement available, which over 1 year after the recall date, is not acceptable. The vehicle has been at the dealer for service several times since this date, and the recall has not been addressed.
