Takata recall - Ford dealership has failed to fix this cars airbag. I've made numerous appts that have either been cancelled or forgotten by the dealership due to unavailable parts, or human error. Ive been told the parts were on order, the parts were unavailable, there were far too many recalls and the dealership couldnt mert the demand, and also completely forgotten altogether! dealership was supposed to call us to fix this after failed appointments and never followed through. My car was just updated with a $300 value loss because of it. This car is completely paid off.
When I was decelerating the car would vibrate. Only happened in town, not on highway. I was told I had to replace the driveshaft and left spring, which was broken!.
The driver inside door handle will not open door. I see there have been recalls for models before and after 2012 for this problem. I am 70 yrs old and cannot repair this myselflf not have funds to have repair. Is there a recall for this model and problem.

When moving, a strong blow and vibration occurs in the car as a result of changing the changes in the lime.
When trying to open the drivers side door from the inside on my Fusion, the door handle let loose and I could no longer get out of the car. The door handle is apparently broken. I bought the car used and it worked perfectly until last evening. Apparently door handles on different years of Fusion have done the same and Ford replaced them. All of the cars are the exact same interior as mine appears to be on the videos in which this breakage occurred. I had just pulled into the parking lot and had to have my boyfriend open my door to let me out of the car.
I can't get out of my Ford Fusion, I've tried the driver's door handle, and it won't open the door, took to Ford dealer, they told me door handle is broken, not under warrantee, I've barely had my car 2 months, tried rolling down driver's window, and the door lock has jammed, twice, causing me a life death situation, where, I was literally trapped in my car for 25 minutes, twice, no phone or water, and passerby's didn't want to get involved, just to help me get my door unjammed. I was sweating profusely, I had to crawl over the shifter and emergency brake just to get to the passenger door to get to safety, and with a lumbar brace on for my 9 compressed discs in my back and 7 in my neck, I was really scared that I would die in my car. It took me 15 minutes to get to the passenger door and in twice ad much pain twisting my back and neck, I was on the verge of heat exhaustion from a hot car in az where the outside temps get over 108 degrees in the summertime. I was dripping wet when I finally found a way out of my car. This door handle isn't covered under my extended warrantee, and it should be, for people on low income situations, or have a recall on the door lock and handle situation, because it's a manufactures defect, but, Ford won't admit that they have a serious safety issue with the do it handles breaking and trapping people in their cars. This should be a recall, so Ford can be responsible for their defect and redesign it differently so the door handles don't break, and trap people in their cars. My car is now dangerous to me, I can't get out of it safely without hurting myself, and that's very, very bad. I don't want to die in a hot car in az, that's a slow death. Please have this door handle problem recalled, and covered under warrantee's so Ford can fix and pay for their own mechanical problem instead of the low income seniors that need dependable cars.
Sbs break system. Repairs from dealer is not fixing the problem. The car sometimes speeds up, when using breaks.
Power steering assist fault. Started car steering wheel would not move then power steering assist fault came on the car.
Hi my door hadles on my 2012 Ford Fusion are loose and sticking out can not lock doors manuely or with key. Called Ford not on recall, but 2013 and 2014 are. This is a Ford defect and I think they should have to recall this. I now have to pay for their defected problym not right ty.
Takata recall incident where on multiple occasions vehicle was jumping out of gear , one specific incident where two passengers where in vehicle and vehicle jumped into department of vehicle building while car was in parked gear and police report was made due to no one physically in drivers seat.
On interstate 59 alabama car went dead losed all power battery light came on a second got off road tried to crank turned key on and car kept grinding like it was trying to crank without touching key had to turn it to off to stop it from trying to crank set there for 30min then started. . Got home 30 miles later. Started off this morning died again 2 blocks from house. Same thing again.
When driving the vehicle on an incline, or the engine is under loaad, the temperature gague goes up, but as soon as I come out of it, the temperature returns to normal. I have had it tested and it is not actually overheating. Have a new water pump, thermostat, sensor and radiator. Also, the car symbol on the instrument panel is on and all doors and trunk are closed. Had to take it to the dealer, they've determined it is electrical after the "diagnostic", but are still trouble shooting after a week to determine the exact cause.
Went to open my door to get out of my car & out of nowhere the door handle would not work. To get out of my car right now I need to put down the window & reach out to open with outside handle or get out passenger side due to cold temperatures & not being able to put the window down. It's really inconvenient. I have seen where other vehicles have had recalls with similar problems.
Vehicle was in park, ignition turned off. The driver's side door would not open. Had to roll down the window to open the door with the outside door latch. Took to Ford dealer, gross motors in spencer, WI. They replaced broken part in latch assembly, cost $100. Vehicle has 55,000 miles.
Door latches stopped working not able to open any doors and the check oil lights comes on but just had multiple oil changes dealer not able to reset system the system has to be replaced extremely hard to turn the stearin wheel.
Moon roof shattered glass.
Car iis in park and pull the key out of the ignition it will not come out . Making sure it is in parked , turn the wheel tried all that and still stuck the only way I can take the key out of the ignition is to disconnect the battery. Ford dealership said it needed a new shifter.
The vehicle was parked in my driveway upon returning from errands. The next morning the power steering assist and the advancetrac system failure lights were on. This has happened before while driving and after parking at my workplace. Usually restarting the vehicle would correct the issue. This time it would not reset and I brought it to the Ford dealership where it was purchased. I understand there was a recall on the 2012 Ford Fusion and other Ford makes for this same issue. However the dealership says the VIN # on my Fusion doesn't match any current recall and will not cover the cost of repair. My question is if this is a known Ford problem why should it not cover my vehicle with the same issue for recall ? just because the VIN # isn't in the system is no reason not to fix this. It is a known problem, many situations exactly like mine recorded online. How are they (Ford)not responsible?.
Driver side front door handle ceased operation. The door will not open from the inside of the vehicle, but will open from the outside. I contacted my local Ford dealership about this and they stated they have replaced many of these, but it is not on a safety recall at this time. The repair cost is approximately $170. I consider this a severe safety issue due to not being able to open the driver's door in the event of an emergency. Vehicle was parked and not moving when this occurred.
Driver interior door handle breaking.
The inside door handles break quickly. The drives side door handle has busted 2 times in a year and the passenger side door handle has busted as well. This is a terrible design flaw on Ford's part. I have already fixed the door handle once and now gotta fix them both.
I was traveling down a main street and I heard a beep and power steering assist fault lite up on my dash as well with service advancetrac came on so I pull off the road and into a parking lot and my wheel all the sudden got stiff. I sat there for a few trying to figure out what was wrong and I turned the car off and let it sit for a few mins and turned it back on hoping it would go away well it didn't, so I got it home finally 6 hours later still with all them lights on and the wheel being stiff let it sit over night and everything next day I go back to the car hoping once again it would go away and it didn't.
The inner driver side door handle broke suddenly when trying to exit the vehicle. The handle made a pop sound and we were unable to get out. Once we had the chance to look at what happened, we noticed that pulling open the handle at the same time as the lock engaged the latch. The vehicle was parked at the time of the handle breaking, and the motor was turned off.
Door latch broken. Drivers inside door latch broken so you can not open the door from the inside. Comon problem that goes back to 2006 models. Plastic mechanism fails and door will not open from the inside. Also door will not lock so the vehicle can not be secured. Preventing someone from getting out of the car has to be a safety issue. There is a TSB from 2006 on this problem for all Fusion, milano, and Lincoln mkz models. A recall on all door latches inside the car would be appropriate.
Second time inside driver door handle has broke, can't get out of vehicle unless you roll down electric window and open from outside. Car has to be turned on for this to happen. Otherwise you would have to climb out to passenger side. This could be a real safety hazard in case of emergency. Ford only warrants the handle when fixed by them for two year. Wouldn't you know it 15 months and it breaks again. Here goes another 216. 00 plastic part inside door handle breaks.
The door handle attachment broke inside the door frame. I have been told by many mechanics this is happening alot on Ford Fusions but my VIN number is not included so I have to pay to have it fixed. If it is a Ford Fusion problem them why are not all included.
The front seat passenger and front seat driver door has failed and the door can not opened from the inside of the vehicle. The passenger door opener was repaired one and a half years ago and the driver door is being repaired on July 18, 2017. In the event of an accident, egress from the vehicle is problematic. The window must lowered and the driver must reach outside to open the door from the outside.
The drivers inside door hadle won't open the door. The car was sitting in my garauge when the inside door handle broke. Ford is charging us $240 to fix it. The car odometer has about 46,000 miles.
Driver door will not open from the inside. Must roll down the window to open it from the outside. The unlock button stays half open; won't move either way.
2012 Fusion. Build date 12/11 drivers door would not open after parking at work. Interior handle would not return to normal position. It was stopping about 1/8" from fully retracting. Door would also not lock with electric locks. Had to climb out the passenger side. It would open from the outside though.
Loss of power steering assist. Not all the time door latch will not open from the inside.
Was coming home from work when my steering wheel lock up well at least felt that way just was really hard to steer. I ended up hitting a pole due to the fact that I couldn't really control my car. Also I was never notified about this recall at all and could've probably prevented this incident if I was notified about this recall . Now I have no vehicle to drive so now I'm stuck trying to figure out how I'm going to get my daughter to her appointments and how I'm going to go to work and make money to pay bills due to the fact that my car is now sitting on the garage sitting there.
This is a problem with the driver's side door latch. Door latch handle and lock popped out towards steering wheel and door swung open in traffic on 12/31/2016. When door finally latched, it would not lock. Remote cannot actuate lock. Inside door handle and lock still out of position.
