The car stalled a few times wihile on my way home with no warning had to restart the vehicle so as I needed to accelerate or slow down the vehicle would start shudder and jerk as it felt like it was slipping out of gear no warning light was illuminated. I had to have vehicle towed to my house looked up issues it said it may be transmission so then I had the vehicle towed to a independent mechanic business and was informed to take the vehicle to a Ford dealer that there were 2 recalls associated with my vehicle the recalls were through the NHTSA vehicle safety reports. (power train) and (torque converter). However my vehicle was the 1. 5 version and was having the exact same problems as the 2. 1 version being covered through the vehicle recalls. Replaced input shaft, fluid pump, filter, valve body, solenoid body, torque converter, and any associated gaskets and hardware car is going back to the shop tomorrow due to it shifting harder than before. Safety park feature no longer works either. Can hear hard shifting when changing from park, revere, and drive. Reverse is the worst and car shakes with each gear selection. Moves hard as if I hit something when placing into park.

8 Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem

Failure Date: 06/29/2019

Vehicle was parked and when turned on the check engine light came on. While driving around 45 mph , the power train light came on. Took vehicle into dealership and was informed I needed a new torque converter. Waiting to hear back on if they have found the part, as they couldn't the day I took it in. Vehicle only has 24k miles on it. I do not know if the previous recall regarding this part was fixed or not because it was prior to the day I bought the car.
