The throttle body failed. Car went into limp mode. I used a code reader to investigate. Code was p211, throttle. Bought a throttle body at Ford dealer, $100. 84 total parts with tax and throttle body and gasket. Replaced part and it runs fine so far. I was lucky to have been close to home when it happened. I did not find any recalls for this make model and year but throttle bodies commonly fail on Fords. It happened on July 31, 2021. Car had about 89,500 miles. Bought the car new from bill utter Ford in denton, texas in 2015.
