I have a 2019 Ford Fusion turbo engine and everytime I accelerate the turbo is wicking into the pcm the control module which is causing hazards sucking as at random times whenever I turn left the steering wheel with get stuck and the brakes will lock for a couple seconds and then go back to normal. I had meineke do a diagnostic on the car and they showed oil in the pcm aswell as the loss of connection between the pcm and its sensors. They drove the car and while driving the car going 20mph the car is reading as going 100.

Shift lever does not select accurate gear due to worn bushing (NHTSA 22v-413, oem 22s43): a degrading bushing attaching the shifter cable to the transmission in certain 2013-2019 Ford vehicles, including the 2016 Fusion, may detach, preventing proper gear selection and potentially causing unexpected movement. Dealers will replace the bushing and add a protective cap.

The steering cable is connected to the transmission hub, and the fitting that connects the two has a gasket that wears away and falls out. This is a recall with vehicles that are made from one of the two plants that assemble Fusions, however my vehicle is not covered under the recall even though it is the very same issue as the recall from the other plant. It makes no sense, why is one assembly plant offering a recall for this issue while the other does not? for the same issue of the steering cable coming off the transmission, and not allowing the vehicle to go into gear. I have had to fix this car on the side of the highway before, it will not go into gear on the road. This is not safe at all. You cannot have vehicles just not going into gear while your driving down the highway, or road, street, etc.
Electric power steering motor attaching bolts corrode (NHTSA 19v-632, oem 19s26): corrosion of bolts in the electric power steering system can lead to loss of power steering assist in 2016 Ford Fusion and Lincoln mkz vehicles in certain states. Dealers will replace bolts and apply a sealant, or install a new steering gear.
Car shifts into 1st gear when traveling at higher speeds (45+mph), causing a significant jerk and almost causing a rear end collision to myself. Car also loses power and jerks significantly hardwhen shifting to reverse and drive from park. Afraid to travel over 45mph due to the downshifting.
I was driving to my drs appointment and as I was pulling up to the hospital I saw a message from my dash and my steering wheel locked up and I had to get it towed and then sent to the dealership but since I had made a few of previous attempts to get it fixed with u guys it wasn’t getting no response, so I had to go get it fixed force and I ended up with a bill. .

I am having a lot of problems with my transmission and torque converter and after some research I’ve seen those are both commonly recalled parts on the 2017 Ford Fusion. My car only has 67,000 miles on it and I believe it’s too soon for this to be a problem. When I try to accelerate from 2nd to 3rd gear my tachometer shoots up and my car will start doing a jerking motion and won’t accelerate.
Electronic throttle body car lost power on busy, construction road manufacturer issued secret warranty to owners and did not send out notice multiple certified mechanics have inspected the vehicle check engine, abs, service advance trac, and power train lights were on and I am uncertain when they first came on.

Electronic throttle body failure my car lost power going 50 mph in road construction the car had a recall and extended warranty on it from 2014-2024, I was not notified check engine light, drive shaft light, and service advance trac appeared a few weeks before the failure.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 80 mph while driving. The vehicle started jerking and failed to exceed 60 mph. The vehicle jerked and then failed to exceed 40 mph. After refueling, the vehicle was slow to start. The contact had to pump the accelerator pedal for the vehicle to start. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who retrieved dtc: p02, p0087, p0131, p0302, and p1450. The mechanic informed the contact that the vehicle would not pass state inspection. The local dealer was contacted, who confirmed an unrepaired recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was unknown.
Steering wheel clock spring is not working. Controls wipers, turn signals, speed control, voice commands, lane aware and allows to toggle thru control settings do not work. Ford doesn’t have part available or an eta. This part covers vehicles from 2013 thru 2024 so currently vehicles coming down assembly line are using. My car is unusable like this. Aftermarket part is also unavailable. Please help.
Tire pressure monitor system warning action now issue since 09-22-2024 the tire pressure monitoring system has detected one or more tires are significantly under-inflated. Suggested actions: check the tire pressure to ensure the tires are properly inflated. Warning: the tire pressure monitoring system is not a substitute for manually checking tire pressure. The tire pressure should be checked periodically (at least monthly) using a tire gauge. See inflating your tires in the wheels and tires chapter of your owner's guide. Failure to properly maintain your tire pressure could increase the risk of tire failure, loss of control, vehicle rollover and personal injury.
The left rear caliper has been replaced 3 times in the last 6 months and is currently in the shop for a 4th. This locks up for no reason and ruins the brake pad and the rotor and I have now replaced all of that 3 times as well and the brake hose line.

My first problem is that when I try to accelerate the speed it acts as if it doesn’t want to go above the speed that I’m already going! also my engine light pops on and off and says it could be a number of things such as my brakes and exhaust. The last problem is that my brake lights will not turn off at all.

The anti-lock brake system (abs) malfunctioned causing the brakes to give out while I was driving the vehicle. Luckily I was on a residential street and I was able to safely pull over, but it could have caused a major accident had it not happened in that location. After taking it to two auto-shops, both concluded that it was a problem with the abs system. There is an open recall for the 2010 Ford Fusion for the same exact issue (recall number: 19s54), however it does not cover the hybrid model, even though it is the same exact issue. In order to stop the vehicle, I need to press down on the brake pedal very very hard and use the emergency brake. It is not safe to drive, and it is a substantial and costly problem with the vehicle to repair. I would like my car to be part of that recall program, or at least be able to be recalled for this issue in which there is already an open recall, except not for my specific variety of the 2010 Ford Fusion. I have had to get my car towed several times in order to transport it, as again, it is not safe to drive!.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact veered off the roadway. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle malfunction message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 17v427000 (power train). The manufacturer was contacted and referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was unknown.
This failure narrowly resulted in a serious accident when my vehicle applied the brakes without warning and dropped the speed to below 40 mph on the highway! I was extremely fortunate not to have been closely followed by a large semi at the time. I researched on my own and found this was a known defect: Ford recall reference #22s02 (21c24) March 2022. Includes vehicles built in hemosillo plant from oct 2013 thru 6 April 2015. My Fusion was built there on 2 April 2015 but was not included in the March 2022 recall so I was never notified. Apparently this was a known defect and on going problem since Ford issued ssm 50328 to cover various vehicles built from 2013 to 2021 (includes 2013-2017 Fusion/mkz). I was able to drive the vehicle safely on back roads to a local Ford dealer where the problem was addressed. I submitted a request for refund to Ford and advise them of this continuing safety issue that should have been addressed with a properly expanded recall. Ford denied my request and tried to avoid the ongoing safety issue claiming it was an "out of warranty" matter.
Major safety concern. The vehicle gets stuck in first gear while the engine is running and the brake is released. It used to only do it when the vehicle had the engine auto-shut off featured turned on but now it does it permanently. I stopped driving the vehicle because there is a high risk of causing an accident.
Continually receiving "see manual" message while driving, will intermittently appear and disappear. At times, the plug-in battery will completely stop working while still charged (more frequent in colder weather). It always resets/removes the "see manual" warning upon next vehicle start. Engine shutters and pings when turning the car off and is rather intense and seems potentially damaging. When driving at low speeds and when changing speeds, engine will not shift correctly when accelerator is pressed, and then will suddenly engage and lurch forward. And when slowing down braking system is not consistent, often have to depress brake harder than normal. Hybrid battery will also stop working when "see manual" message is on. At times the check engine light will come on, code p0b24, checked by Ford dealer (norm reeves, cerritos, CA) on 12/21/23, 'hybrid battery a voltage unstable'. Known recall but they have no fix. Dealer says corporate office has to authorize any sort of loaner car or arrange for rental car, however website says "contact your local dealership directly" when I enter my info for the recall. Called Ford corporate on 1/15/24, their answer is "we have no fix for this" regarding both fixing the car and providing us with a working vehicle. They would not take down any of our contact information or give us any other outlet to contact.
This has happened multiple times now. Always happens at high speeds (greater than 45 mph). I will be driving on a highway when I unexpectedly lose the ability to accelerate. First noticed in correlation with the collision detection feature showing on the display as not functioning. That does not happen anymore, but I still lose the ability to accelerate periodically. Once I can safely remove myself from the flow of traffic and stop/restart my car the issue is resolved. Makes me believe this is electrical/computer origin. The vehicle was taken to the dealership twice where they claim “cannot duplicate” but are willing to replace any item that I will pay for out of pocket. The dealership does not want to honor my extended warranty. The vehicle was purchased new in 2019. Within one year they had to replace half my engine (which they decided to do without warning when I dropped off for an oil change). The vehicle was stolen in 2023 (recovered by me in under 24 hours). Multiple cosmetic issues were repaired by a Ford authorized service team. This issue presented about 1. 5 months ago 4+ months after the vehicle was repaired.
Ive had multiple accidents trying to get this car repaired . There are recalls all the way up to 2010 yet 2011 are also having the same hydraulic issues and abs issues . This is outrageous I have to spent over 3000 dollars and the issues still is resolved especially when im paying for manufacturers error. I am not hard on any of my cars but this one is horrible.
1). 3 days after purchasing the vehicle I wasn't sure but I could tell that something was wrong so I called my husband and told him while driving the car that something was wrong and he needs to notify the dealership. 2). 5 days after purchasing the vehicle I went into a grocery store. When I came out the car was on/running, all by itself. 3). Additional problems occurring on a daily basis with the vehicle which lets me know that it's electrical problems are as follows: a. The vehicle randomly turns on and off all by itself, this is very hazardous. B). The headlights also randomly do not work while driving the car, day or night, which is very hazardous for both me and my clientele, as I am a lyft driver. C). The interior lighting on the console and dashboard become dim or do not turn on at all, day or night. D). While driving the vehicle it does not always accelerate properly, which is very hazardous in traffic. E). The bluetooth system connects and disconnects itself randomly. F). The air and heating system randomly turn on and off without being touched. G). Charging my phone in the vehicle is also challenging as it does not always work. H). Bluetooth radio stereo system is continuously problematic, volume randomly increases and decreases and turns on and off by itself, even with the vehicle completely shut down. I). After locking the doors, everything inside the car does not completely turn off. Interior lighting sometimes turns off and on separately, and it can take up to 30 minutes for the dashboard lighting to go off. J). The instrument panel often makes some sort of sound/noise and the gear shifter dial will aluminate even though the car is off/completely shut down. K). While driving, front windshield defogger will randomly turns on, causing the windshield to fog up, distorting vision, which is very hazardous. L). Dashboard vents emit an extreme amount of heat even though both heater and air conditioner are completely off.
I heard fluid from what seemed like my dashboard and a puff of white smoke, no sensors came on. My Ford Fusion continued but ran rough. I was pulling out of a parking lot onto the street and my Ford Fusion was nearly t-boned because it would not accelerate. Later that day my overheat sensor came on and my Fusion left me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with a baby in 100 degree heat. I called a local mechanic, he put water in it and drove it to his shop. After 400 dollars worth of work the problem persistent, he then checked it for the notorious coolant intrusion issue and confirmed a misfire and coolant intrusion in cylinder 2. It's now parked and has not been driven in 3 months.

Turbocharger leaked oil into the engine causing irreparable damage to the engine. Oil leaking cause engine failure, smoke coming out of the tailpipe, several blown gaskets and steering wheel malfunction. Cars computer system froze, enabling vehicle to move forward. Motor mounts were faulty, loose and unstable. Grinding sounds coming from wheels, vehicle alignment is unsteady. Issues with this vehicle previously reported under NHTSA id #11534780 updated information being reported after repairs have been repaired.
Power steering turns off when you go above a certain speed and the service advance power steering comes on.
In my 2020 plug-in Fusion, stop safely now appeared on the screen as I drove on the freeway. While driving 70 mph, I suddenly had difficulty accelerating, and my air conditioner stopped working and began blowing hot air. By using hazard lights, I was able to slowly exit the freeway. The system disabled the engine and prevented the vehicle from starting. After being stranded on the off ramp, we were towed home. The cost of which exceeded $100. Without displaying any warning messages when we arrived home, the car started right up. After letting it sit for a few days, I tried to drive it again. In my attempt to accelerate, I reached 50 mph, but again the same warning appeared and I was unable to accelerate. It is ridiculous to not be able to trust a car that is less than five years old to drive safely and confidently. I paid too much for this luxury brand from Ford to cause this kind of issue. It clearly is related to the active recall that Ford doesn’t have a solution for.
My turbo boosters keep causing my wastegate to malfunction and stay open. Causing my car to accelerate on its own. The pedal pulls itself down.

I got into an accident around may 3rd. Roughly around 11 pm to 12 am. To inform whomever is reading, none of the issues I will list have happened prior to this event. At the accident my car would not turn on, and it would not lock. As well as a piece of the car had broke off. I took my car to mike's auto body for repairs. When the person inspecting the car had reviewed what was wrong with my 2016 Ford Fusion, I was informed part of the issue was the starter. I was informed by nick a staff member of mike's auto body, that the piece was replaced. After I had picked up my car on June 6, 2023 as per the receipt from my payment. The first time the event happened was on around June 6th to June 20th (I know it happened on a rainy Tuesday or Wednesday anywhere from 7am to 8am prior to Thursday June 22nd. ) my car flashed "see manual" on my dash board. The air bag light had turned on. My car would not accelerate, the brakes functioned at this point, but when I pulled off the road and parked my car shook. When I had turned my car off, took out the keys, and turned it on again the problem was "resolved" and I was able to continue driving to work. I had called the auto shop and eventually left my car with the auto shop to be safe. The next event happened on Thursday June 22nd at 4:10 pm after I had picked it up from the auto shop when nick had informed me my car was safe and nothing was reading on the scanner. (I took a picture of the dash board to show the message) and turned my car back into the auto shop. To note, the brakes did not work during this time. The next time it happened was the first time I drove my car again after picking it up from mike's auto shop. July 1st at 12:47 pm. The same stuff happened. I recorded on video what my car was doing. My car decelerate when my foot was still on the gas, the brakes were not working, hot air out of the ac, car shaking. It happened 10+ times today (7/15/23) after leaving the dealership to fix a recall I have several videos of it.
Accident.
Their is a recall for Ford abs module yet their needs to be one for 2012 Ford Fusions se as well I have paid over 3200 dollars for my brakes alone . I have had 2 near misses and was in an unreported incident today from power loss on my breaks . Very unsafe for me and those around.
Service advanve trac light comes on, abs light, air bag light, brake malfunction, the turn signals stop working and steering because a little tight, was on the high and this happen and delayed decrease in speed, turn signal available, almost caused major accident get of on an exit with no turn signal functions, this has to stop.
My car has been losing power and randomly stalling for a while now. Today as I was driving it was happening more and then suddenly my brake pedal became hard as a rock, and the hill assist warning came up. It keeps stalling and will not remain running for longer than 2-3 minutes of being on. This almost caused me to ram several cars due to not being able to stop quickly enough. No lights came on other than check engine and it has not been inspected as this has only happened today. However the stalling of the car has been going on for about 3 months and I’ve been very pregnant and unable to have it looked at. The loss of power in the car happens and sometimes downshift’s extremely hard causing a loud jerk noise from the underside of the vehicle. Once turned off and turned back on it goes right back to normal until it decides to do it again. It can happen a couple of times or it can happen 100 times within a 5 mile period and I never know when it’s going to happen until it’s actually doing it. Extremely dangerous and I’ve seen several 2015 owners posting about issues of the 2015 brake system/bumper etc. I’ve seen recall talk but this site shows no recalls, please get this issue recalled ASAP!.
