Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 1999 Ford Ranger - part 1

Takata recall. I had a accident where I hit another car with the front left bumper of my truck. The left quarter panel and front fender were destroyed, but the air bags did not deploy or inflate.

Tl- the contact owns a 1999 Ford Ranger. The contact stated while driving the vehicle was operated 70 mph they lost control of the vehicle while resulted in a front in collision with another vehicle and a speed hump. In addition the speed hump caused the vehicle to become airborne and hit tree. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated during or after the failure. The vehicle was towed away and deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. A police report was filed. Medicals attention was required. The contact suffered 6 cracked ribs a punctured lung, a collapsed lung, a broken neck, and several bruises. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was approximately 130,000. Kh.

The contact owns a 1999 Ford Ranger. While driving between 55-60 mph on normal road conditions, the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a snowbank. The vehicle rolled over three times and the air bags failed to deploy. The air bag warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The police and ambulance were called to the scene and a police report was filed. The driver sustained severe injuries. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The extent of the damages has not yet been determined. The VIN was unknown. The failure and current mileages were 120,000.

While driving 35 mph consumer's vehicle was involved in a frontal collision. Upon impact both frontal air bags failed to deploy. Driver sustained minor injuries, and was transported to a hospital. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection.

During a 45 mph frontal collision front air bags did not deploy. The seat belt released from the belt buckle. Consumer sustained minor injuries, and had the vehicle towed. The dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

While driving 25 mph consumer applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Consumer was not able to maintain control and vehicle collided into a wood fence. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection, and dealer was not able to determine the cause of the problem.

While driving 45 mph the driver tried avoid another vehicle but vehicle rolled over twice and was hit on the side and the front. The air bags did not deploy.

I crashed into a bull at 65 mph, my bumper was very damaged along with my hood , windshield and roof. My air bag did not deploy. I did injure my neck. P. S. I was wearing my seat belt.

The drivers side airbag failed to deploy when the vehicle struck another vehicle squarely in the rear.

Vehicle rear end another vehicle at approx. 20 mph; consumer informed that driver seat belt fail to lock properly, both air bags fail to deployed and abs fail to operate. Dealer/mfr. Was not notified at this time. Can NHTSA provide addtional information or help in this matter.
