37 Tire problem

While driving uphill the around a bin the firestone wilderness ht p225/70r15 tire lost pressure causing the vehicle to fishtail and hit a curb.

38 Tire problem

Heard about tires on tv. Checked tires, including the spare. Noticed that all 5 tires had slits or cracks around them, where tread met the casings. Consumer can pull the slit apart. Will be taking vehicle to tire retailer. Firestone wilderness ht p225/70r15 with 4,000 miles.

Consumer has had 5 flat tires in less than one year, one blew but while driving, consumers tires are not included in the recall 00t-005 but he believes they should be (firestone wilderness at p215/75r15). Nlm.

40 Tire problem

Currently on all 4 tires: no tread cracks, no tread separation. (dot number: w270 tiresize: p24575r16).

41 Tire problem

This size of firestone tire came on my new 1999 Ford Ranger when I purchased it on 8/14/99. While they have not appeared yet on any offical recall notice, I fear driving any great distance beacause of possible manufacturer's defects. I want Ford motor company , and firestone to pay to replace these. (dot number: w2uuip0229 tiresize: p225/70r15).

42 Tire problem

Consumer is concerned about the possible failure of the firestone tire, the consumer contacted firestone and was told that the tire was not included in the recall, firestone wilderness ht tire, 225/70/r15, claim number was not given. Nlm.

43 Tire problem

To whom it may concern, I am writing this in hopes you will have firestone recall all of its' wilderness at tires, no matter what size the tire may be. I leased this 99 Ranger 4x4 last may in order to have a safe vehicle for my son to drive to school, football, & home again. Now this recall! I received a letter in the mail from firestone stating the tires on my vehicle are not part of the recall and should be safe! should be! I hope you will be able to have a complete recall so that people like me can stop worrying if our child will come home or will he/she be the next fatality. Please don't let more people die before firestone recalls all their wilderness brand tires! Ford nor firestone are able to bring back the people who have already died, please step in now!! a concerned and angry mother - ask the ceo's of these companies - what they would have done if it were their son/daughter that had died because they believed in the good old dollar verses human life!( dot number: tire size: 16 ).

44 Tire problem

Prior to the submission of this questionnaire, I sent a copy of an e-mail that I sent to Ford & firestone that included pictures of the tires. Please check with the webmaster for this information as it was sent to that address. ( dot number: not sure tire size: p245/75r16 ).

45 Tire problem

All of my tires are separating at the tread just like the 15 inch wilderness at tires. Two of which are worse than the other two. The dealership won't look at them because they are not recalled, nor will the local firestone dealers. You can see the separation (you can see wires hanging out at the separation. I would like to have replacement tires(good year) the competitors brand before something tragic happens to myself or my family. ( dot number: w270 tire size: p245/75r16 ).

46 Tire problem

The tire desintergrated. I took it to the firestone dealer who replaced without question or charge. They gave me no receipt. This happened in the spring of 1999 I believe. ( dot number: tire size: p255/70r15 ).

47 Tire problem

Had both right tires,( front and rear), blow within a two day period. Firestone rep advised no abnormal tire wear and advised should be able to get at least 10,000 miles more off the tires. Because of my concern I replaced them. I believe these tires failed prematurely. The ht's have not been recalled with the at's as of yet?( dot number: tire size: 225 15 ).

48 Tire problem

Tires are showing cord on side of tire. Appears to be peeling right off of the casing notified firestone dealer they said I should not drive the truck. ( dot number: tire size: 16'' ).

49 Tire problem

All four tires visually inspected show numerous cracks around tire wall both sides of tire( dot number: w270 tire size: p245/75r16 ).

50 Tire problem

Cracks on treads like the ones being recalled and tires are ripping- news said 16 inch tires were recaleed in other parts of the world-firestone said I had to pay for the damage. ( dot number: tire size: p24575r16 ).

51 Tire problem

The Ford Ranger I purchased skids when it crosses over a manhole. I've almost lost control several times. I was told by the dealership that this is normal for a light truck and that after the suspension breaks-in it will no longer behave this way. Its almost a year later and there are no changes. It feels dangerous to me.

52 Tire problem

I do not feel safe on these tires, please recall them for my famlies safety. ( dot number: tire size: 225-70-15 ).

53 Tire problem

I just discovered that my 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 off-road pickup, which was factory equipped with 16" tires, has a 15" spare. The engineers at Ford have decided that mismatching tire sizes poses no adverse driving conditions for consumers. I feel that emergency handling with a 15" spare mounted on the front of my vehicle would be a challenge and potentially dangerous. I doubt that any tire manufacturers would recommend or support this practice. What did the dealership or Ford motor company do when I brought this matter to their attention, you ask? absolutely nothing! it would be very interesting to see the results from some independent test conducted by a consumer group or from any tests that Ford may have performed. Could this be another recall in the making? I hope so, as I think that under certain conditions, driving a vehicle in this configuration could be very dangerous! this is not limited to the 1999 model year. Ford has done this on the 2000, 2001 and is still doing it on their 2002 Rangers equipped with 16 tires. Apparently Ford has no problem aggressively marketing and upgrading the standard 15 tires to optional 16 tires. They just dont see any need to upgrade the spare. I strongly disagree with Fords attitude, as I see a real problem with driving mismatched tires even temporarily, and especially on the front of my vehicle. (tiresize: p235/75r15).

54 Tire problem

Pe00 020; all four tires had to be replaced. Firestone wilderness, ht tires.

55 Tire problem

I have reported this problem to for. They even replaced my tires. Now the new tires are cupping. I have not had the extreme vibrations after my truck was reapaired from the acciedent. ( dot number: ).

56 Tire problem

The consumer had requested the firestone tire company for refund of four defective tires which are on recall p235/75r15, but firestone has not reimbursed consumer yet. (attorney for client).

57 Tire problem

First off there has been no failure as yet. I couldn't get this far without saying there was. I just want to know what about the tires I have is any different than the ones being recalled? I still don't hear why they are failing. If as I suspect that it is the glue is there a different glue used on 16"? I'm curious too about whether the tire is responsible for the feeling that the vehicle could roll very easily. I've noticed in a couple of circumstances of quick braking to avoid an accident that the vehicle like the center of gravity is somewhere above the top of the cab. This is not in a situation where the vehicle is sliding side ways either. It just feels like it could very easily flip over. I see no apparent flaws in the tires at this point and they seem to be wearing as well as any other tire on the market. They just don't feel right and didn't prior to the recall action. This is a fyi from me to you and at this point I hold little if any hope of these being recalled. What is your advice for me? thanks for your time. (tiresize: p245/75r16)( dot number: tire size: p245/75r16 ).
