2010 Ford Ranger. Consumer writes in regards to passenger side airbag safety recall. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time completing the recall repair.
Takata recall. My Ford Ranger has been under recall for the passenger side airbag since July, 2016. I realize takata is in bankruptcy, but both the notice of filing and the takata recall site state this should not impact the ability to get the airbag repaired. Unfortunately, when I called laird noller Ford in topeka, KS they claim they are unable to fix the airbag because of the takata bankruptcy as they can't get the part(s) they need. I just want the airbag fixed so it is safe.
