02 Ranger 4x4. Ford is using jucky valve body on there auto transmission!!! this problem make the transmission slip & slow shift. On the Ranger station this is the biggest problem on Ranger& a big one on explorer.

Transmission went out at 70749 miles. Purchased 04/11/2003. On 09/15/2003 noticed transmission slipping, made appt for 09/18 with dealership where I purchased it used. Transmission went out on a busy intersection and had to be pushed to the side by police and towed to dealership to make my appt. Cost $3113 to replace - dealer basically "to bad for you". Also - ac condenser needs replacing at a cost of $570 cannot afford to do condenser yet. . . . This has been a very expensive vehicle so far, we've owned it less than 6 months!.

There is some slippage problems with transmission that after about a few miles transmission slips. Problem is intermittent. Has not contacted dealer.
Automatic transmission malfunctioned, causing the gears to slip which may result in a crash. Please provide further information.

When vehicle is parked and the manual shift is in gear after being parked a while the transmission slips/does not engage, and if the parking brake is not applied, then the vehicle rolls free as if in neutral.
