Two problems related to oil pump have been reported for the 1999 Ford Taurus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
A new oil pump was replaced and the engine was still knocking. Dealer stated that the lifters were bad. Also, brakes were replaced four times.
The front shaft oil pump failed while the consumer was driving.
