Two problems related to vehicle overheat have been reported for the 1999 Ford Taurus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1999 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the vehicle overheated constantly. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that there was corrosion build-up that had to be flushed and drained. The repair was done at that time. A few months later, the defroster became defective and the failure occurred again. The contact called the dealership and was informed that she would be charged for a diagnostic test as the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. The current mileage was approximately 54,000.
I have had nothing but problems since I purhcased my vehicle on one occasion the care overheated while still unter warranty I was told by dealer couldnt find the problem. Then the timing change gasket had to be replaced was told by the mechanic that it wasnt installed correctly I had to replace it didnt report problem to dealer or Ford now my power steering has gone out will cost 700. 00 to fix have reported probelm to dealership as well as Ford however they wont do anything for me both Ford and two other mechanice have told me this is a problem with the 1999 Ford Taurus breti .
