1 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that there was a progressive leak of transmission fluid shown under the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was a transmission fluid leak and when the vehicle was turned off the fluid leaked into the motor. The mechanic diagnosed that the trans-axle vent needed to be replaced along with a 90 degree vent stem small hose with clamps. The 90 degree vent stem prematurely fractured and needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and stated the vehicle needed to be further inspected and diagnosed to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000. Dyd.
