Tl- the contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the in 2011 with approximately 53,000 miles on the vehicle the transmission failed causing vehicle to reverse while in the drive position. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the failure was due to a faulty wave plate. The vehicle was repaired. In October 2015 the failure had reoccurred.
