Transmission wave plate issues. . . . The car shifts into different gears and about caused an accident. Took it to a mechanic and it is a transmission wave plate that needs replaced. Going to cost us around $4000. Just spent 1000 dollars to fix the power seats that quit working also.

The front drivers side 8 way seat moves forward and back under hard braking and acceleration. The movement is more than an half inch. The dealer said the manufacture knows about the problem and there is no fix for it. I feel very unsafe in this car with seat the moving around.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle seat would not move forward or backwards. The failure occurred intermittently. The dealer stated that it could possibly be a safety issue for a person over 5'10 and 250 lbs if a crash occurred. The dealer stated that the seat railings would not function properly for a person of the contact's stature. The manufacturer stated that they would not be liable for any safety issues because the contact was notified of the safety risk involved. The current mileage is 5,700 and failure mileage was 1,600.
