The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated while starting the vehicle the radio would not work, the air bag sensor would chime as if a person were seated in the passenger seat and not using a seat belt, the power locks would not work, the yellow lights for the blind side detections system would illuminate and stay illuminated. The contact also stated that he was having problems with the functioning of the heater and a/c, which had become sporadic and intermittent. Additionally the vehicle had become more difficult to start and would require many attempts. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 161,000.
