The contact owns a 2015 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that the engine stalled numerous times while idling at a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to todd wenzel Buick GMC of davison (1146 south state road, davison, michigan, (810) 655-9587) for diagnostic testing, but the dealer was unable to locate a failure code. The dealer also test drove the vehicle and was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. On cold starts, the engine will stall at first stop. Typically this is at the first stop light or stop sign in the morning on the way to work. This is beginning to happen several times a week. It also has happened after sitting for several hours. It only appears to happen when starting the truck after the engine has cooled. Prior to stalling, the engine will hesitate and the rpms drop until ultimately stalling. I have called the GMC number and have asked the dealership to check it out. It cannot be duplicated by them and they say gm has not issued a recall or bulletin to repair.
