There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel to warn the contact that service was needed. He scheduled an appointment with the dealer to have the vehicle diagnosed. 2003 Envoy sle hatch door lift system failed. As a result the hatch was extremely heavy and hard to open.
Rear hatch struts on 2003 GMC Envoy failed without warning. Door could have fallen and injured family members. It is too heavy to lift. Dealer said part was on 7 day backorder.
