The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the entire instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 108,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2003 GMC Envoy. The contact stated that the speedometer had not worked since the vehicle was purchased, and recently all of the gauges on the instrumental panel failed to function. The manufacturer stated that warranty had expired and the vehicle was over 70,000 miles; however, the manufacturer had offered to assist with the repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 66,000 and the current mileage was 120,000.
