7 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2014

Was driving and service engine soon and reduced engine power loss came on. The car basically starting shutting down but I was able to coast out of traffic before it stopped completely. Turn it off, back on several times, until the lights went off then drove it home. I've replaced the throttle body twice and the gas pedal for the sensor located behind it. Went from happening sporadically to almost everytime I drive it. Can't drive 3 miles without reduced engine power loss coming on. Now there's about 155,000 miles on the vehicle and it's happening all the time. Needless to say, it's sitting on the driveway. I'm aware other customers are having this same issue from reading comments online. I don't understand why gm has not done a recall to fix the issue. Perhaps it can't be fixed.

12 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2008

Hello, hope you can help myself and other persons from not happening. I came home from work Saturday, and parked in the garage as usual. After being home and watching some tv I know for sure was 2 in a half hours. My wife asked of me to go to the garage to get some ice cream, we have a freeze in there. I walked in the door and couldn't believe how hot! it was in there it wasn't a hot day at all to make the garage sizzle. We have a thermometer gauge in there and believe me it read 100 . I was shocked! I went into the house to get my wife, to let her feel the heat, and try to find the source of the problem. We both thought it was the freezer, because that's the only thing plug in. We felt the freezer from the outside , in some places it was hot. I couldn't take the heat any more and opened the garage door. There was no smell of anything that could be wrong. Then I touch my Envoy, and hood of the car was hot, then we started to feel around the heat from the car was close enough to make the freezer hot. I opened the hood and the part to keep the hood up was to hot to handle. I mange nothing was burning no smell just heat inside and out. I pulled it out of the garage because of fear my garage going up in flames, with gasoline and other flammables. I open the door, and wow the heat I hurried and pulled it out. I looked at the gauges and they all read normal? I asked a few friends and they couldn't figure it out. We left the Envoy in the drive all weekend, and left the garage door open to vent out. To my knowledge this has never happen before. We do have the bumper to bumper plan. Could you please check into problem it could safe a lot of lives. Thank god my wife wanted that orange sherbert.

13 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2007

I purchased a 2004 GMC Envoy xuv preowned in 2005 still under warranty. It began dimming the lights in the dash board and at the radio area, I took it in to GMC for service and was told that they didn't find anything wrong with my vehicle. On another occasion my car would get louder underneath the hood if I sat idling for a few minutes in a drive through for example, I took it in once again and was told that it was normal nothing was found to be wrong. Now my odometer works off and on as does my oil gauge. Now that my warranty is out I would have to foot the bill to a few problems that I have pointed out to the GMC dealer ship on more than one occasion. I have even gone as far as to ask if there were any recalls and was told no there were not. At one point my middle window fell down while I was driving I took it to GMC to find out the problem and was told it was the regulator, insurance did not cover this and the warranty had run out. Approximately 2-3 weeks later my back window would not go up or down therefore the tailgate would not open, back to GMC I went and was told it was the regulator once again, at this point I asked again about recalls and why both regulators would go bad within weeks of one another, I was told it was a coincidence. Just as recent as July 24 my power locks began locking and unlocking on there own even while I'm driving down the street. I had the battery checked and it all checked out fine. At this point I would not recommend GMC to anyone or buy another! help.
