The contact pulled at a gas station and proceeded to check all the fluids. The contact continued to drive the vehicle, then the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle continued to drive only in first and second gear. The vehicle was driven to an unknown independent mechanic, that determined that the transmission failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a complaint was filed number: 84441281449. The approximate failure mileage was 140,395. Bp.
The contact owns a 2004 GMC Envoy. The speedometer read 35 mph while driving at 70 mph. The vehicle was taken to a local garage. Diagnostic testing located failure at the transmission shifter cable, which was replaced. Other unknown parts were also replaced. The instrumental control panel sensor was replaced, but the failure was not corrected, the transmission failed again. The manufacturer took a report, but they would not assist with the repair. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 75,000 and the current mileage was 93,000.
