general problems of the 2007 GMC Envoy

Eight problems related to other fuel system have been reported for the 2007 GMC Envoy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2019

The fuel level sensor is malfunctioning giving me erroneous high and low readings. I noticed in August 2011, gm issued a special coverage for this exact problem, however it was only good for 10 yrs or 120,000 miles. My Envoy is 11-1/2 yrs old, but only has approx. 87,500 miles on it. Seeing this is an obviously safety issue which has led to at least 1 known accident, I would like to know if there is anyway that you can help me get gm to extend the coverage to my Envoy? my Envoy also recently had a special coverage initiated for the headlamp driver module (hdm). I was able to get that fixed because gm issued the coverage for a total of 12 years and 150,000 miles. So the precedent has been set to provide coverage for a vehicle my age. Any help that you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you. James adams.

2 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/24/2017

At fill up gas gauge goes to full and stays there for around 20 miles, then drops to empty and stays there. This is an ongoing problem for several weeks now. Apparently this is a known issue, with the vehicle.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2017

Oil pressure sensor. I could drive a very short distance before the oil pressure would fall down to zero. The oil pressure warning light would come on and then stop engine.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2014

February of 2014, gas gauge started to go haywire. After approximately 100 miles, needle of gas gauge goes to empty and low gas indicator light comes on. November of 2013, passenger air bag indicator light stays on. Does not matter if seat is empty or occupied. July 2011, right/front window regulator cable broke-replacement cost me $340. 00. At this time shop found that front differential case leaking. This was replaced at no charge. Have not owned a gm product in over 15 years, now I know why. Come on gm stand behind your products, no matter what year they were manufactured. You claim that your vehicles are on the road for years and years, really. . . Kind of hard to drive and trust a vehicle that does not function properly.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/11/2013

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 GMC envyoy. The contact stated that gas fumes were emitted inside of the vehicle. The failure has continued over a period of a year. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who could not diagnosed the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000. Rg.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2013

I was at a stop light and when I pressed on the gas the vehicle stalled. I had to have a tow truck come and give me gas to get me started. This is ridiculous. Now I have a check engine light on because of the stalling cause gunk to get in certain engine parts. I am extremely upset and do not think it is fair that the driver has to pay for 50%. GMC should pay for 100%. Period.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/14/2012

We bought this vehicle 2 months ago and it is a 2007 Envoy. After doing research this vehicle has a history of the gas gauge going out of it. The dealership and GMC should be fixing this not the consumer. It is despicable that they do not consider this a safety recall. I should not have to pay half after only owning the car for 2 months. The dealership and GMC knew that this is an issue and refuses to pay for it. Someone needs to do something about this!!!.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2010

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. The contact stated that the fuel gage was providing inaccurate fuel level readings. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The dealer was not notified of the failure and the vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was 37,000 and the current mileage was 48,000.
