One problem related to axle shaft has been reported for the 1999 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle has problem with wheel bearings. Once before left was replaced, and recently right was replaced. They would make a growling scrapping noise without touching brakes. The vehicle was vibrating and making noise which increased as speed goes up. The shaft sealwas replaced twice.
