Turn Signal Switch Problems of GMC Jimmy

GMC Jimmy owners have reported 9 problems related to turn signal switch (under the exterior lighting category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Turn Signal Switch problem of the 1997 GMC Jimmy

Failure Date: 06/09/2005

I own this 1997 GMC Jimmy that I purchased from my mother in December 2004. I had a problem with the signal lights, they just quit working. I took it to the local gm dealer and at that time no recall had been issued for this reason. I will need to replace the switch and assembly. I know that there is a recall for GMC and Chevrolet minivans for this same reason. It is my feeling that the 1997 Jimmy should also be included in the recall or a separate recall should be made for the models using the same assembly as the 1997 Jimmy.
