Door Hinge problems of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Two problems related to door hinge have been reported for the 2000 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Door Hinge problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2003

Rear of vehicle clunks when stopping and upon moving forward from a stop. Third door used to access rear of vehicle does not latch during cold weather of 20 degress or lower.

2 Door Hinge problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2003

Consumer received recall 04v129000 concerning tailgate support cable breaking. The tailgate cable broke when the consumer let the tailgate down. This vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
