GMC Sierra owners have reported 3 problems related to windshield wiper/washer switch (under the visibility category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wipers stopped and then may start at a later time. The last incident was when it stopped August 20, 2004 in a driving rain storm and we had to pull over but it soon restarted. Later the same day it stopped again and did not restart placing us in a dangerous situation. This morning it is working again.

My windshield wipers only work intermitedly and I found the recal for it on this site. 996 GMC Sierra pickup. . The dealorship is saying even though my wipers are broken they cannot repair for free because my particular VIN # isn't on the list.

Wiper works intermittenly dealer notified and informed that vehicle VIN number was not cover. Ts.
